I've been making wine for over ten years and this Pino Noir is one of the best for the price. Give it a try and you won't be sorry.

This was the first batch of wine I've ever made and the results were pretty amazing. First off, I thought I bought Merlot and it was really Pinot noir. So I thought I was going to have to let it age for at least a year. Nevertheless, I had one bottle where the cork was starting to come out so I said you know it'll just drink it. But just to do a test, I got some pretty decent pinot and some cheap pinot. The good pino was Rodney Strong Russian river valley Pinot noir 2021. And then just a cheap bottle of barefoot Pinot noir, California. I was able to tell the Rodney Strong out of the three. It just had a softer scent and then a softer aftertaste. However, I thought that the Barefoot was my wine. So the wine is definitely better than a Barefoot Pinot noir but not quite as good as the Rodney Strong. The fact that my wine only aged for about 2 or 3 days and it turned out as good as it did is simply amazing. It's very good and I'll be buying it again. I did add the oak chips that are provided on the second fermentation in the carboy. I also bought some tannins extract and I added about three teaspoons of that.

This kit tasted great after letting it age in the bottles after 6 months. I got 28 (750 ml) bottles out of this batch and have received several compliments from neighbors and friends that have tried it. The kit I purchased was the Pinot Noir and it took less than a month to make. For the price this kit was fantastic and I’m probably going to purchase this one again!

Great wine base. I found these kits are better if you only make 5 gallons instead of the advertised 6. You end up with a more full bodied wine, and i'm willing to sacrifice a gallon for something that tastes better. I also added some cherry juice and elderberries to bring out the fruitiness, and used a different wine yeast than what they included (They include EC-1118, i prefer to use Sensy or similar red wine yeasts). Fermented out in a week, and tastes good so far. I found these small adjustments help to bring a basic wine up a few notches
