This sleeve is not the correct dimensions and was egg shaped not a perfect circle and poorly cut out for the slot with excess metal not cleaned off

The OD of the shim is correct, but it is not perfectly round. The shim I received is not the full split version pictured, but is key-cut only, which should've helped retain it's form while cutting the key-way. However, the key-way is not machined, but rather it is stamped; which is the cause of the deformation. It also had a massive burr inside the key-way that needed removed with a die-grinder before it would even come close to slipping on the shaft. After massaging it back into a perfect circle and de-burring it, the shim fits nicely. Now,...about the 1/4" key...yeah, not so much. The key-stock should have been 5/16" X 1/4" to properly fit the adaptation of an up-sized shim kit, with 1/4" key-way. The key that came with this kit is 3/16" X 1/4", which would've flip-flopped all about in the key-way and destroyed the shaft and likely the sheave bore as well. So I picked up a length of 5/16" X 1/4" stock and made a proper key. Now it fits fine and works as it should, but for the time and money spent, I should've just made my own from the get-go.
