In this regard, how to know your garage door opener’s learn button colors?

Generally, for a Chamberlain or LiftMaster garage door opener, the colored learn button will be located on the back of it. To locate your LiftMaster remote learn button:

First, find the antenna dangling from the bottom of the machine.

If you have a light cover placed over the control panel, remove it to easily view the dashboard.

Find a brightly colored — red, green, purple or yellow — square or circular button on the back panel, likely located under the light lens.

If the color of the button is Yellow, then this garage door button is exactly what you want.

Neither switch worked on my yellow button door opener. Just blinked and blinked and blinked and blinked and blinked.... you get the gist. Different ones I purchased on amazon worked without a problem. These went back.

I asked the company that installed my garage door opener, if they could put a hard wired button that controls the door and the light. They said this model doesn't have this ability. Recently, my original controller quit working, so I ordered this replacement button. It has a switch on side which controls the light. Low and behold, it controls my light! Wish the old button quit working when I first got the system! I guess, better late than never!

Followed instructions, amber light turned solid, door does not work. From there the thing was bricked. Couldn’t reset by holding both buttons. I removed from wiring and tried to add again, straight to solid amber. No bueno.

I had ordered less expensive versions twice and was unable to get them to work. These Liftmaster units work perfectly as soon as installed no programming required

My original wall switch failed. This was a perfect replcement. Follow the instructions for easy setup. Bonus is I now also have a switch to turn on and off the garage door opener light.Pricey but cheaper than any local source.
