Unfortunately this pod holder is the wrong size for the type that we buy so I am returning it. I like that it is clear acrylic, the drawer slides in and out easily and it seems very sturdy. My daughter pointed out that the "diamond cut" style of the knob on the drawer is "super cheugy" not something I would have noticed but worth mentioning.

Arrived broken and the plastic on the protective sides as another reviewer mentioned, is impossible to get off. I do not have a steam cleaner and have been scrubbing it for half an hour with a sponge to try to peel the plastic off and it won’t budge. Pics included of the broken section and plastic that is stuck to the sides. For the price of this thick piece of plastic I expected more.

I am a neophyte to espresso and Nespresso® machines and their accessories. As a result, I did not realize how much the “original†and “vertuo†capsules differed. I put too much reliance on the statement that “[s]uitable for 90% coffee pods machines.†It seems that our Nespresso Pixie® machine requires the remaining 10% of the coffee pods that do not fit. Of course, that is my problem and not the vendor’s problem. The stand still works because I purchased an acrylic tray that fits under the stand once the slide-out tray is removed (photo). While not as attractive as designed, it will work for our Nespresso Pixie® machine’s “original†capsules. The manufacturer went to great lengths to protect the acrylic plastic Nespresso® pods holder. While it was easy to remove about 99% of the protective plastic covering the acrylic pod holder, the final 1% I found to be virtually impossible to remove. This was the plastic that was covering the rounded corners between the top and sides of the holder. The cover almost appears fused or glued to the acrylic.PROS• Nice solid, attractive, acrylic Nespresso® vertuo (NOT “originalâ€) pod holder.• The holder can certainly support the Nespresso Pixie® machine which only weighs 5.4 pounds (2.4 kg).• I suspect this holder would look quite attractive with the colorful vertuo pods.• This pod holder can be adapted to work with other pods by purchasing and inserting an acrylic tray under the holder.CONS• While I appreciate the manufacturer’s attempt to protect the acrylic with a removable plastic, I found it impossible to completely remove the plastic stretched over the rounded corners.
