This lock is well built, has 4 combo-wheels, and features the best (most secure) TSA 006 master lock dimple key. As far as I know, only Rimowa luggage from Germany uses these TSA 006 master lock keys, as well.Even the Louis Vuitton Horizon 55 luggage uses the worthless TSA 007 and it shows they know nothing about luggage security and probably outsourced their lock manufacturing.This seems like the only travel lock in the world with this feature set.The biggest problem is that it is very very easy to decode by pulling on the shackle and turning each wheel. Any kid on TikTok can open this lock in a few seconds without the combination and without the key. Please study the Abus 145/40 C to overcome this problem with false gates and a mechanism that prevents dial rotation when pulling on the shackle.It would be great if the locking mechanism could use double ball bearings on both sides instead of a single side. I'm guessing a strong or heavy person could pull this open with just a rope or towel.In an ideal world, there would be three more features:a flag that shows if the key was used by a TSA agent (this resets when you open the lock with the combination)a key retention feature which requires that the bag inspector re-lock the lock to get his/her master key back.a removable shackle guardThe body is quite overweight; it would be great if it could be made out of aluminum instead of whatever material it is (zinc?)It still gets 5 stars because it is far better than any other travel lock. I figured a company as innovative as this one would value some constructive feedback.

I was looking for a fairly normal little luggage lock to match the others I own. This one seems well made, but it is about the same size as the lock I use to lock my tool shed. This photo compares it to another lock (the red one) I own that I also consider to be about twice as heavy as needed to lock my luggage. I have some others that I like better. If I was locking a steamer trunk, this one would be about right for me.

This lock is stronger, heavier and more rugged than typical travel locks that feel fragile and are easy to pop off. It also has the added benefit of being 4-digits vs 3-digits. As others note however, this added security does come with some limitations when wanting to use it on a regular carry-on bag, namely-- it does not fit a conventional zipper lock hole (the hole between the two zippers when they are pulled together where a travel lock is typically located—see pic below) on travel back packs or carry on bag. As advertised it is for larger lock holes found on toolboxes. If you are like me and want to use it on your carry-on bag, what worked for me was looping it through the two larger holes on each zipper (the holes at the end of the zipper)--works fine and is the strongest travel lock I have ever found. You may want to check the zipper hole diameter and the measurements from the manufacturer’s diagram which is one of the embedded photos in the Amazon listing)

I bought the FORGE 4 Digit 17067 TSA Approved Gun box, Tool Box and Case Lock, Combination Padlock for Travel, BLACK 3 LOCKS, hoping to use them for my luggage. However, I was disappointed to find out that they do not fit most luggage hooks. They are clearly designed for gun cases, tool cases or big hard cases with big slot holes. The product description should have mentioned this limitation.On the positive side, the locks are very well built and heavy duty. They feel solid and sturdy, and the combination is easy to set and change.They also have the TSA006 keyhole, which is considered to be the most secure among the TSA locks. Another advantage of these locks is that the 4 digit combination is difficult to crack, unlike some other locks that have only 3 digits.I appreciate the quality and security of these locks, but they are not suitable for my needs. I had to return them and look for another option.If you are looking for locks for your luggage, I would not recommend these. But if you need locks for your gun box, tool box or case, these might be a good choice.
