I run small molecule biochemistry classes via goto.com and the sound for vocals is great for teleconferencing and acceptable for desktop audio provided you have some EQ for Tidal, Spotify, etc. I run streaming music through a Xeon server -> RME Babyface Pro FS -> pair of Fostex transformer balanced. Good sound with bass and treble boost and mids recessed a bit. Recommended.

This speakers is built well, sounds good for what it is. I did find one fault using this unit for testing/tracking. When using an rca to 1/4†adapter or 1/4†plug, the xlr input is non functional. I was not trying or expecting to use both inputs at the same time, I stored the rca adapter in the jack and realized no signal would pass using the XLR. Not a deal breaker, just something to note.

Nothing but love for the speakers. They sound so good I have use the speakers for almost 20 years. This was a replacement.

This is an amazing little speaker. Great balanced sound. We are using them in classrooms (20' x 24') with great results. Phenomenal improvement over stock TV sound. Great for consumer listening of mp3 music as well. Greatest feature for classroom usage: auto-off! Balanced cabling - no hum. High quality build. Get the wall brackets. I wish Fostex also made a version 1-step larger. But these do an impressive job!

The metal tab that releases the XLR cable is defective and has failed on every single one of this model of Fostex Speaker. I own 4 and all now have a 100’ XLR cable permanently attached.
