EDIT: The seller contacted me separately and sent out a free replacement directly from their shop - it arrived undamaged and in perfect condition so I’m updating my review to reflect this!I’ve bought / returned these 3 times because each time they’ve been delivered with the tips of the pointy ones just broken off. Not sure if I’ve been getting someone else’s return or something but either way I still have not received one with the tips intact. Otherwise the build quality seems solid lol.

I liked that they were adjustable to 4mm, but I didn’t need two of them and the price was too much.

These are better than expected, but that's not saying too much. This are my first set of spanner wrenches, so I can't compare them to anything else, but I have a lot of "Professional" experience with hand and power tools. First, I'll say they aren't what I'd expect if I were a professional optical technician! They are wobbly, the set screws don't hold perfectly, and the finish is not pristine... On the other hand, from the pictures on Amazon, I expected them to have a cheap chrome finish that would easily flake off. I was wrong! They are actually pretty nice, kind of a brushed satin finish. The tips are ground fairly accurate and smooth, and they have a nice "heft" to them. Taking a tip from other reviewers, I held the wrench flat on a table, with the tips hanging over the edge, and placed the binoculars against the wrench tips and twisted the binoculars to remove the ring holding the glass in. That worked great!! Fortunately, my rings weren't stuck on, so I didn't have to use much force to remove them. The set arrives in a plain cardboard box, and two zip-loc bags inside containing the wrenches. They DO have nice (surgical rubber?) tip guards included. There aren't any instructions, but if you can't figure out how to use them, you probably shouldn't be using them. I give these five stars, but only because they are average tools at an average price. I will only use them occasionally, so I don't need a very expensive tool sitting in a drawer collecting dust. But, when I need them, I know they will do the job, as long as that job isn't too tough...

The pointed set were two different sizes and almost immediately stripped out the piece I was working on because it didn’t fit. The tension screw was also misthreaded and would not go in or tighten.

The adjustment screws are difficult to tighten without using plyers

Excellent. They are easy to operate and seem well machined. I think I'll have these for a long long time. They come with thumb screws and Allen screws but the thumb screws hold just fine. Here's a tip I learned online: Some spanners are heat treated to make them harder but you can harden the tips by making them red hot on the stove, then dunk them in ice water. This will further harden the metal to insure that they do not slip/strip when used . The tips will be a darker color once finished .

After trying several other lens spanners, it's nice to finally get a quality set. These are very solid and a huge step up in quality from any of the others I have tried. highly recommend!

These spanner wrenches are of nice build quality but the pointed tips are not the same length. This makes it very difficult to use without damaging the lenses or camera you're working on. For this reason I would they are way overpriced. If quality control was better maybe I would buy these again but I would definitely try and find a better and cheaper option that can go down to 0mm

Très bon matériel, robuste et facile à mètre en oeuvre, je suis enchanté de mon achat. (m'a servi pour démonter une bague sur de l'optique, possibilité d'inverser le sens des pointes, parfait)

Good product to remove camera lenses. Minimal tool bending under load. Adjustment to size requires attention, as with all lens spanners. Very satisfied with the two pointed ends. This also makes it possible to unscrew small items.
