This cable allowed me to use JJC JR Series Infrared shutter release controller with Nikon D700 camera. Ideal cable length for tidy attachment of hot shoe mounted receiver.

It's a cord! It goes from my camera to my star tracker and it fits on both ends! Wow! Who knew?Only gave it 4 stars, since, well, you know....its a cord! How does one give a cord a 5 star review?I mean, I guess I'd buy again if I needed....a cord!

I previously had a Nikon D5100 that you could release the shutter with a cheap $20 remote. Also with my previous setup I had some Yongnuo flash triggers. Recently found out that they can also be used for a shutter release but would need an interface cable. I needed a shutter release for my new D850 but the Nikon release would end up being around $500 or so. This $10 cable paired with my Yongnuo triggers saved me TONS of time and very easy to setup.

I bought this cable to use with the MIOPS Splash Drop Photography Kit (see my review elsewhere) and although I'm able to use the cable, the camera has to be fairly close to the water drop cup. If I move the camera even slightly, it pulls the drop kit out of alignment and I have to reset the shot again. I should have just bought the longer cable even though it was way more expensive.
