Exact form/fit/function as OE part on 1995 Chevrolet Astro 4.3L (W engine, with A/C). Easy remove/reinstall, biggest problem was removing O/E hose clamps; used standard screw clamps as replacements and it was a simple job.

I installed this in my Volvo in place of the stock style heater valve. It worked great and helped keep the head a little cooler. Unfortunately, after about 2 years the little metal arm popped out and caused a pretty substantial leak. Luckily I caught it before it did any real damage. I'm a little hesitant to buy the same brand again but at least I know what to look out for.

Actually using this in a 1994 Volvo 940 Turbo as the stock bypass valve blocks flow into (and out of) the heater core blocking coolant flow back into the rear of the cylinder head. This just diverts flow back into the head bypassing the heater core and helping to eliminate hot spots in and around cylinder #4.

Failed after only 8 months. Luckily I'm a person who keeps an eye on their guages....was able to pull over before all the coolant leaked out and the engine blew.
