My wife is thrilled with her purchase of these trekking poles. She is a novice in their use but, with knees that have declined with age, she wanted to try them for non heroic climbs up our neighborhood hills and on to local hiking trails. The construction of the poles is first class. They come very efficiently packaged; someone put some serious thought into that. They come with a selection of different tips and good instructions on their use. Assembly is very straightforward, are easy to adjust for the height of the user, and were ready for use in under 10 minutes. The grips are comfortable and the poles have a sturdy feel to them, despite being light in weight. They came with a storage bag with a pocket for the different tips, as well as a pouch to wear around your waist for money, ID etc. All in all these trekking poles are a five star product and well worth the purchase price.

For the record, with all the restrictions on travel I have not been able to put these trekking poles to the test I bought them for, mainly, hiking steep, rugged, and sometimes slippery terrain. It seems that despite my best efforts to stay in decent physical condition, I cannot bounce up and across things like in younger days and anything reducing the chance of injurious twists, slips and falls is a good thing by me. So my comments are limited to some flatland walking experiences. What I can say thus far is despite their light weight, these are very sturdy in bracing my 200 lb weight when thrown one way or another. Setting them up for my height was a breeze, not needing any tools or having any difficulty tightening the tension screws for the flip lock levers and then using these to adjust and lock in the proper pole extension. Likewise, the wrist strap adjustment is intuitively easy and secure. The grips have a solid, yet comfortable feel. In fact, all of the components seem built for easy use and durability. The included instructions are well written and to the point, actually adding useful information even if one is already familiar with the mechanics of these poles. A point worth highlighting is the assurance of being able to get replacement parts for those that wear out or get damaged. These were very reasonably priced for the quality level, but I would rather save the money for more fun. They also threw in an unadvertised, free walking/running pouch belt that is rather handy. One other thing, they offer free two-year product replacement insurance if you send an "activate insurance" message on Facebook, which is a pretty sweet add on, though my being the last living being on the planet without a Facebook account meant I could not take advantage of it--but you should. A great value overall.

I bought these for a 20K run in the fall through a rocky terrain state park. Trekking poles are required and I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I already had already shelled out a small fortune for the other required gear (trail shoes, backpack, etc.). I decided to try these since they seem to get good ratings. Now I see why. I honestly wasn't expecting to get anything great for the price. I just needed something adequate to participate in the race. I didn't want to spend another $100-$200 for something that I probably wouldn't use often enough to justify the cost. So I looked for something in my price range and decided to try these. At least if they were flimsy or cheap, I wouldn't take too big of a financial hit. Imagine my surprise when these poles were way better quality than I ever expected! They came with very detailed instructions, a nice carry bag, and 3 different foot attachments. I also got a free running pack belt which I will definitely use on short runs to hold my keys and phone. After following the instructions, I was able to set the poles to the proper height, adjust/tighten the locks and test them. I am very happy that the hand straps, cork handles and height adjustment were comfortable and the poles were sturdy when I leaned into them (110 lbs). I also like that they easily telescope open and shut, which will be important during a race. I am confident they will hold up well on the 20K run.

Just received them, 1 week early, nice! The grip is not too thick, feels nice. The wrist bands indeed feel soft and are easy to adjust. The very top black bit is rubbery: offers nice grip. The clips to fix the poles at a certain hight are easily adjustable by hand by turning the wheels a bit. The clips are plastic, but seem fine, I will tell you about durability after my trip. The poles seem strong and held my full weight.On the attachables (the mud and snow thingies) is a screw thread, but it's not very clear when to stop screwing exactly. That plastic is quite flexible. I hope they'll last, we'll see about that too. The rubber feet are to just be pushed on but they don't 'click' or anything to hold them in place. I can see how some people in the other reviews were able to lose them. I think I might put a little surf wax or something in between to make it a bit more difficult to get them off. I'd prefer some clicky turning system.I think the carrying bag might be unnecessary, could just be a sock-bag. There was a little hip bag as a 'thank you gift', which is nice, although I can't use it on a backpacking trip. How cool would it be if that was something small, ultralight and still cheap for them, like a carabine hook or some elastic band to put on the outside of your backpack or some refelective tape to be able to find your poles in the dark.The bigger rubber feet to me seem the most practical to use, since they give you a lot of grip during the entire arm movement, when having the poles in an angle while walking. They are also extremely practical in standing up from a low chair to pull yourself up I found accidentally, to lighten the load on your knees substantially. Old or injured people: use 1 of these to get up (and while you're up, stay active!), give the other to your spouse so they can get you coffee in bed.I'll hike the Kungsleden in Sweden with these and use them to set up my tent as well, so if I remember to, I'll update my review after my trip. Got me to top of Machu Picchu even with a couple of dodgy arthritic knees!! If I only use them for that they’re worth it but I know I’ll be using on hikes in the future. Strongly suggest you watch some videos on using poles as I found out some simple tips can make a huge difference in using them. Great piece of kit.

These hiking poles are nothing short of remarkable. I love hiking the wilderness trails and these poles have me back in the game. I'm even able to go off trail if I should spot a special bird, edible mushrooms, trillium flowers, wild berries... They include all the extra feet you'll need for the different terrains at no extra cost. They are very sturdy, have comfortable wrist straps, and the length adjust easily, which is perfect for someone with RA. Honestly I can't brag them up enough. I'm back in the sunshiny wilderness thanks to these two assistants. =)
