My son started learning fractions in third grade and we got this hoping it would help him gain a better understanding of the concept and comparing fractions. IT DID! He really enjoys playing it and it made a big difference in his base understanding of fractions.

I assumed that the cards were the same size as standard playing cards, however they are much smaller. I did go back to the product description and it doesn't specify card size. They are great for practicing and learning fractions. The scholars loved the game.

Students that have mixed levels of educational and cognitive development. We can work together with this game to quiz each other. Unmathematical problems.

After you’ve played this card game a few times, and the kids catch on, it becomes way too easy. The picture clues at the bottom of each card are helpful at first but after a few games, the red line marking off half makes the game very easy. Kids seem to pay more attention to the visual of whatever the fraction happens to be than to whether or not it is bigger, smaller or equivalent to the opposing faction card.

My first impression was they were slightly smaller than standard playing cards. But the paper is thick and durable just like playing cards. The best part for me as a homeschool mom is the visual of the fraction. Each card has a colored bar along the top showing the size value of each fraction. This is really helpful for kids to physically see the difference between 1/3 and 1/4. Placing a 4/5 fractions up against a 2/3 fraction makes it easy for a child to see. I feel this helps build an innate understanding since a child is repeatedly seeing the size comparison. Totally worth the purchase price.
