I grabbed this filter for my 2011 Subaru Outback, and it fit like a glove. (Well, a glove for my engine, I guess?) Installation was a breeze—seriously, if you can twist your wrist, you’re halfway there.The box claims it’s good for up to 15K miles, but I don’t like to live on the edge. I swap it out every 10K because, you know, better safe than sorry when it comes to engines. After using this one, my car seems happy, and I like to think we have an unspoken "thanks for the oil filter" bond going on.Overall, does what it says. Not sure if it could survive the apocalypse, but hey, it’s tough enough for my Outback. Would buy again.

So this fit my 2012 Avenger perfectly, love the black grip stuff on the bottom of the filter, makes it nice and easy to install and remove.

Some people are critical of using Fram filters claiming they are cheaply made. That may be true of the internal construction when compared to other brands. Still, I base my opinion on actual use and track record. Over the years I've used Fram products for all my vehicles and have never had an issue. They make a good product.
