I ordered two of these flasks and one initially cracked right on the bottom without being exposed to very much stress at all, a simple distillation of no more than 115*C and upon completion I felt lucky that the crack wasn't bigger as any leakage could easily ignite once it contacts the coils of the heating mantle. The other flask was only used in cold sonication baths, I got three uses out of it only to pull it out the on the third use to find a very large crack across the bottom of the flask, which also could have been dangerous as the flask was used for low temperature grignard formations which are very water sensitive and can easily go wrong if the reactant were to spill out into the water. Extremely upsetting purchase. I believe the mistake is most likely in the manufacture of skipping over a nice slow and long annealing of the glass while it cools and instead jumping the gun to sell the flasks. These are dangerously low quality to use considering they are more than likely going to be used with flammable solvents, high temperatures, and heaven forbid highly sensitive or potentially explosively flammable (IE diethyl ether) solvents. As stated, one was only used for sonication and had a two inch crack across the bottom after removing from a reaction kept at 15-20*C for only 2-3 hours; I've never had a flask break from sonication, it is not a normal thing to have happen, and is a clear sign of poorly annealed crystal structure to the glass. Never again.
