I bought these for an upcoming trip to Thailand to specifically visit Temples and other sacred places. I needed something lightweight with zippered pockets to secure passport and wallet. These pants worked great! Even though it was warm, these kept my lower half comfortable via the breathable fabric. They felt durable and I had no issues with the zippers and securing items in my pockets. They packed easily in my luggage and the drying quickly aspect of these pants came in handy when hanging them up to dry and airing out odors after wearing them numerous times. These are great traveling pants that also look pretty good. This pants have exceeded my expectations - thanks!

These pants are even better than expected! I've been wearing them weekly now, under all sorts of weather conditions, for the past couple of months. I was looking for a lightweight, stretchable, waterproof and breathable pair of pants. Those are the qualities that were advertised, and at the price offered they'd be a bargain if they delivered, and they have big time! The sizing was spot on, and for the price, they can't be beat. I'm especially impressed with the little details that went into the design, such as the internally mesh lined cargo and front pockets, as well as the heavy duty fabric loop which connects the button to the pants. The same goes for the heavy duty and extra wide belt loops, and their placement. I wear my keys on a carabiner attached to the front beltloop. With these pants, the belt loops are further off center than belt loops found on most pairs of pants. It's a much smarter location, so your keys don't go smackin you in the nads inadvertently. Another major bonus is the location of the cargo pockets, which are located more towards the front of the thighs, than on the side of the legs as with most cargo pants. This location seems to make the contents of the pockets stand out less, and therefor less bulky and apt to bump into stuff as they would if the they were located on the sides. The zipper closures on the cargo pockets are also superior to the standard velcro closures you find on most cargo pants. And the pockets are roomy enough to fit my cell phone, smokes, or my wallet, no problem. The pants are very water resistant, and airy. They're a great deal, and i would not hesitate to buy another pair when and if this pair wears out. My five star rating applies to company just as much to the pants themselves. I had issues with another product I purchased from Free Soldier, and the company was very easy to deal with to make things right! These pants are the third product I've purchased from Free Soldier(these pants, boots, and a pair of fleece lined snow pants), and I am more than happy with the products and the company itself, a well-deserved 5 stars all around.

There's a lot to like about these hiking pants. The fit and weight are similar to well-broken-in jeans with the advantage of having very comfortable elastic in the material. I took them on a 10-day trip to Japan and they served perfectly as all-weather pants for daily wear. The included belt is of higher quality than might be expected in pants at this price point. The only flaw is in the design of the pants button - rather than being sewn directly to the waistband, it's on a short nylon tether (if not sure what the purpose of this was). At any rate, the tether tore and the button popped off after less than a week. I just had the button sewed directly to the waistband (like on normal pants) and everything was good.

UPDATE:I bought another pair and they fixed the belt! I find everything about these to be perfect now! Perfect fit (I got a size larger both times than I normally got). They breath good, but they are not baggy, nor are they tight. They are stretchy as well, so you can move in them and size and squat and jump, etc. as well as they do not get tight in the crotch area. They look great and fit good, they just feel really good! Plus, they get noticed! Great for every purpose from hiking, to casual semi business dress (not wedding dress casual, but business casual outside or small business casual, etc.). They are near as comfortable as sweat pants! But, the fit and look great, so you don't look like a bum, while feeling as relaxed as one could be while still retaining a good look without a nice pair of jeans or real khakis etc.Finding the right size is key though, I actually ended up going with 2 sizes up from what I used to wear, but I am heavier right now than I have been. Yet, these are form fitting enough even when I get back down on my body fat, I expect they will still fit good.--------------I would get these again, as they are really nice looking and comfortable and keep me warm and yet I do not get hot in them. However, the belt is built in, you can not remove it, and the design is annoying. The clip is metal, and it goes into a loop sown in place. However, the loop sown in place, has no give and it is impossible to buckle back up without looking, you can not feel your way to do up the belt like any normal belt. It also is super annoying, as it is maybe half a inch from the pants, so your thumb can barely hold on it as you look the metal clip into it. The belt is the only flaw with these though, it is a annoying. It is functional and works fine, but when you go to take a leak, it is a hassle trying to get the darn thing undone and then when you go to buckle it up again, it is a hassle. They need to ditch the sown on belt and make it a normal belt. This is a major design flaw. Other than that though, these things are amazing!

I live in a humid and warm area. The pants was comfortable in my outdoor hike, perspiration drying is good. Will get another colour of the pants. It fits alright.
