If you have a light with a Bowens mount, this should work fine for you. The barn doors help shape the light, and there's a sort of diffuse lens in the front to lessen the harshness of the outgoing light. To be clear, this does NOT include the light.

I have been playing with this lens for a little while and I am totally in love with it. The effect it creates is unlike any other modifier I have. As I learn more and more about how to control it, I can see me incorporating this into more of my photography. I simply love the look, and it is different than what else is out there. The Fresnel lens comes in a zippered pouch that has foam inside to protect it. It is a Bowens mount system. It has barn doors and the ability to adjust the light beam angle. Everything goes together easily and the light beam angle is super easy to adjust. It does not come with gels, but I’m sure you could cut circular gel material and use them with it (this is actually on my “to do†list to try).I was able to use this with a COB light and also a cheap off-board camera flash that I hooked up a Bowens adapter to. I love that it comes with barn doors which really aids in shaping the light. The entire unit is well made and the lens does a good job. It seems like it is durable and I anticipate using it a long time. I like that it is portable, too, and it is not terribly heavy. The price point seemed steep to me at first considering it has very few moving parts and there are no batteries, but considering what I’ve spent on other light modifiers (like soft boxes and beauty dishes) it really isn’t a bad deal. In fact, my initial reaction about the price tag has changed because the effects this lens creates are so beautiful that I find it worth the money.I would recommend this to the photographer who loves to experiment with studio lighting. I am finding so much joy in using it, and I think others would as well. Five stars.
