Used with adult learners. Be careful not to cut all the way through.

Yes top of block is harder than the speedball brand blocks but that's actually what I prefer when carving especially with kids. Carver tools don't slip as easy while carving. Final product with just cheap paint and a nice brayer turned out great. We even used a paint brush to get some fun effects in final printing/ink stage.Carving takes time to learn...great price & product to learn on.A few of mine were slightly curved when they arrived but after carving on them then printing a few times they already flattened out.(My 2yr old enjoyed the printing stage...no carving allowed for her.)

Okay, so the name-brand rubber, Speedball, is over $130 for 40 (4x6) so right out the gate this is a HUGE discount.I loaded these into the Cricut Maker and it cut out a few stamps from business logos without any issues. Just make sure you have a new sharp blade and the material settings correct on the machine and software and its easy breezy.I'm very pleased with the result, cuts easily with the machine and transfers ink well.Huge value, great for amateurs and students!

Unlike blocks I have ordered in the past, this product had a very hard outer layer which made it super difficult for my middle schoolers to carve.

There one I got were all bent, don’t cut well, and don’t transfer the relief ink well.
