My husband has large arthritic hands which tend to be clumsy and the pro size helps reduce burns. I also use them under stockpots during informal family gatherings. The kids/nieces/nephews have all asked for some.

The main drawback of the Lotta Loops is that many of them stretch and don't snap back to their original size. The color selection is good, but it's a pain in the neck to weave potholders when half of them are stretched out and flabby.
