Product Description:
A Brake Pad Sensor is used to warn the user and/or owner of a vehicle that the brake pad is in need of replacement.
KOOPATZ Brake Pad Sensor is electrical type, a metal body is embedded in the pad material that comes in contact with the rotor when the desired wear level is reached. This will light an indicator in the instrument cluster.
How do you install BMW brake sensor?
1. Determine if you are replacing a front or rear brake pad wear sensor.
2. Jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel.
3. Locate the brake pad wear sensor on the brake pad.
4. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry out the old sensor.
5. Unhook the sensor from the brake caliper release valve.

- You can usually expect to get 30,000 to 50,000 miles out of your brake pad sensor.

Very Solid for the price. These work on my E92 335i 2010, I’ve reset them a few times and still were solid.

I had my front brake sensor light come on. I order this as a pair because it was more cost effective.I only used one of the two sensors. The rear sensor is from a different brand. I used this brand for the front sensor.Super easy to install. The front and rear is different length so you cannot make a mistake when installing.Once it was installed, I reset the brake sensor warning light through the car’s display bc button.

The unit's will work but require modifications for fitment.The white plug in is not a match for the BMW connection (to long) I needed to remove the majority of the white plastic to allow the two prong connector's to link up with the vehicle then wrap with black tape to prevent moisture from gaining access. After I completed the brake job I was able to reset the warning indicator in the dash which confirmed the link was good. The black line on the connector indicates how much material I needed to remove to allow the male to female connector to seat.I did not need to replace the front sensor so I don't know if the situation is the same.
