Frost King door threshold come in both residential and commercial grades and also in a variety of finishes. Aluminium and oak available. This is a 5 in. X 1/2 in. Wood threshold for interior doors. It is designed to cover and hide wood and carpet seams on the interior of doorways. The threshold has a low profile to prevent tripping and is constructed of oak. The extra wide threshold can be painted or stained to match your existing woodwork.

I bought this for outside a doorway to help keep a cat screen in place at the bottom. The cat was clawing the bottom of the screen and this fit perfectly. Now, when the cat reaches under the door, he can't destroy the bottom of the barrier. I also bought one for an actual door threshold. Looks nice.

This was bought to make transition between wood laminate and tile floors. It was easy to stain to match wood floor and looks nice.

A nicely done product, but you may care about some of the following: 1) Three of the five I ordered had visible dark knots. One was just a pinhole, another a little bigger, and the third nearly 1/4 inch. This may meet an industry standard for clear oak, but it doesn't meet mine. Fortunately, all three knots were within 6 inches of one end, so could be trimmed off in fitting these 36-inch thresholds into 30-inch doorways. 2) Some ends were not square. They appear to be long enough to still be the full 36 inches once you cut the ends square. 3) The oak species is not specified as red or white, so you have to guess when buying finishes.

We needed a LARGE threshold at church to hide a carpeting to tile "issue" and this was the best solution I found online, bar none. The oak stained beautifully and finished very well with polyurethane. We were able to mount it to the concrete floor easily with anchors, and it looks very nice in place. It seems to be handling heavy traffic well.It was shipped quickly and was well packaged, too. In short, a good transaction with excellent results.

This is a beautiful oak threshold and we plan to install it with clear silicone so we won't even have a nail mark showing.You can't beat the price. This is high quality, and would have cost much more at the lumber yard.

I used the 5 1/2" threshold to replace an oak threshold that was too narrow for my doorway. My local hardware store didn't carry anything that wide, so I was happy to find it here.

The oak plank was easy to cut to suite my door sill. After applying several coats of clear Verathane it looked great.

Having waited ten days for delivery, I had this fitted to our open threshold after laying a new floor. After less that 24 hours, I noticed a crack diagonally down the entire length of the wood. I must admit that I had seen that it was warped slightly at one end but thought it would "settle in" when fitted. I hadn`t expected it to split apart just by walking on it, surely that is what it is for. The floor is level there is no door so this item is not fit for purpose and shouldn`t be sold as described. As it has been cut to fit the doorway, I cannot send it back, unfortunately. So beware...don`t waste your money, like me. Utter rubbish. Amazon, why can`t we have an option to rate items with Minus stars??
