These work as well as any other through beam optic cables I have used. I will give them an extra kudo in that they have a strain relief at the threaded end. That tends to be where most optic cables fail (in my experience). Like any, these need to be in line with each other (within reason) in order to get proper detection.They could be a little longer, but that depends on your personal needs. I do wish they were threaded all the way to the end. It can be a little difficult to protect the tip from contact/wear the more it sticks out from the nut.I like and recommend them as long as they are long enough for the job you have for them.
