A ABIGAIL Gas Tank Door Cover Spring restores functionality of fuel door spring mechanism for smooth open and secure close of gas cap access door. Our Gas tank door cover spring is made of durable ABS plastic and high-quality spring steel. It is a direct replacement that will fit and work excellently like the OEM part though this is not a genuine part.

Remove the Old Clip
Gently pry the old clip off the fuel door mechanism using a screwdriver or pliers.
Install the New Clip
Align the new Gas Fuel Door Cover Release Spring Clip with the mechanism and press it firmly into place until it clicks.
Test Operation
Test the fuel door's opening and closing to ensure the new clip functions smoothly.

Worked perfectly on my 2017 Toyota LC. I search for video and it was quick 5 minute job. Happy I was able to fix. It's was a direct replacement fit and can't be happier.

I know nothing about cars, and was told the spring thing was broken and that’s why my gas tank door wasn’t opening. I had to use a card with an extra person pressing the button at the same time to pry it open. I bought this for super cheap and fixed it myself installation was so easy. It fit great and now it works perfectly! If I can do it, so can you!

My son put this on so quick.....original part made of plastic and broke...couldn't get gas unless someone was with me or asking a stranger to help me....

Must remove the gas tank door completely to remove old piece and install this. It fitted great on my 2019 Rav4 XLS Premium. It is now working super good. Don't know why that make these thing to last only 4 or 5 years. I would recommend this item.

This clip fits well but it’s built the same as the old one that failed which means this one will probably fail again at some point in the future
