OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE
- Ensure the vehicle's engine is turned off.
- Connect the black clip to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery and the red clip to the positive terminal.
- Identify the fuel injector for testing, disconnect the electrical cable from the injector, and connect the tester's two pulse output terminals to the injector's electrical connector.
- Utilize the "Mode" key to select the desired pulse mode; the display will indicate the current mode.
- Once the desired pulse mode is selected, press the "PULSE" key. The tester will emit pulse(s) to the injector under test, indicated by the illuminated pulse signal indicator.
If necessary, the test can be repeated by pressing the "PULSE" key. To change the pulse mode, disconnect the tester's power, reconnect, and use the "Mode" key.
Note: Always follow these steps for a safe and effective testing process.
8 Pulse Modes (Mode 1 - Mode 8)
Mode 0: Standby State, No Output
Mode 1: Single Pulse Low Power Mode - The fuel injector tester initiates a pulse with a duration of approximately 255 milliseconds.
Mode 2: Short Pulse Low Power Mode - The fuel injector tester emits 50 pulses with a duration of about 7 milliseconds each.
Mode 3: Long Pulse Low Power Mode - The fuel injector tester generates 100 pulses, each with a duration of approximately 3.5 milliseconds.
Mode 4: Continuous Pulse Low Power Mode - The fuel injector tester continuously produces pulses at a rate of approximately 50 pulses every 1450 milliseconds, with a pulse duration of about 7 milliseconds.
Mode 5: Single Pulse High Power Mode - The fuel injector tester delivers a pulse with a duration of around 255 milliseconds.
Mode 6: Short Pulse High Power Mode - The fuel injector tester releases 50 pulses, each with a duration of about 7 milliseconds.
Mode 7: Long Pulse High Power Mode - The fuel injector tester emits 100 pulses, each with a duration of approximately 3.5 milliseconds.
Mode 8: Continuous Pulse High Power Mode - The fuel injector tester continually outputs pulses at a rate of about 50 pulses every 1450 milliseconds, with a pulse duration of about 7 milliseconds.
Please note that during the pulse output period, the MODE SET button is disabled. The operational mode can only be selected by pressing the PULSE button again to terminate the output

- Wear approved eye protection at all times during testing procedures.
- Upon completion of testing, meticulously restore all connections that were disconnected during the process.

Cleaning and testing can be done at some shops, but it is pretty expensive usually.This allows you to clean and test injectors pretty easily on your own time.All you need is a aerosol can of cleaner spray.It is made well, the display is easy to read and the different pulse mode work great.It's a nice tool at a good price, and pays for itself after one use.

This is a tool for basic testing and cleaning of fuel injectors. There are some included parts that the manual doesn't even mention, but some internet sleuthing reveals that those are for sending pressurized cleaning fluid from an aerosol can through an injector while it pulses. It comes with 4 of those. I'm not sure why since you can only use one (maybe 2 with a helper) at a time unless they break often or degrade.I'm also not sure why there are 2 pulse outputs. It's awkward enough trying to hold one injector/adapter/can of carb cleaner contraption. I would tape up the spare set so they don't short/arc and ignite your spray of flammable fluid.Note that this tool is for crude cleaning and testing only. If you are working on injectors for a high performance application, you are going to need to know more than just whether or not your injector sprays, but also exactly how much it sprays over a given unit of time. That can be measured by spraying non-evaporating fluid into a graduated cylinder using controlled pulsing and a stable input pressure to the injector. You can't do that with this - at least not without extra parts and work.

This tool is a must if you are working on your own vehicles. This allows you to see the fuel pattern of your injectors. You need to buy an aerosol testing can from the parts store and connect it to this. It will simulate the injection pulse signals so the injector fires. You can see instantly if the injector is clogged or if the pattern is not correct. Like if it is not misting the spray and is forming a stream instead.The cleaner spry will open up the injector from clogs by being able to bench test them. Being able to check each injector by themselves is much better then just adding an additive to your fuel and hoping it cleans the injectors. Using this tool zeros in on the injector itself and allows you to inspect it.I recommend this unit if you are suspecting weak or clogged injectors on your car. Get this unit and test them yourself to fix any issues.

There are several things I really like about this setup. First, it being operated by a 12vdc source allows you to plug it in right at your vehicle. If you need to do some away from your vehicle, you can plug it into any 12vdc source. You can even use a 12vdc wall wart, as the input on the device itself allows for a standard plug of that nature.Another thing I really like about it is the adapters which allows you to plug into spray cans of cleaner. Just take the spray nozzle off of the can, plug your injector into the adapter, then push the adapter onto the can. When you've got the device operating (cycling the injector), press down on the adapter which activates the spray from the can, and the only place it can go is through the injector. Keep spraying until the injector spray looks as though it has cleaned up and move on to the next injector.I really like the small case it comes in. Very tidy and secure, which protects the device very well. There are some small nets which cover 1/2 of each side of the case's clam shell, which makes it really easy to keep the device and accessories in good shape.There are two sets of leads attached to the device where you can plug into injectors. My suggestion is to only use one at a time. It can become problematic to try and work with two injectors at the same time.Over all, this is a sweet little tester.

Retired now, life long ASE Master Auto Tech. So you understand when I say this is a Professional Quality tool I mean that as someone who would use this while working on customers cars. I can't do a video but if you look on YT you'll find them showing these actually being put to use. Not only can you clean injectors, but you can TEST them to find if you have one that's not working or is just putting out a stream instead of a fanned mist of spray, you can also check for a leaking injector by putting cleaner to it while no power is being supplied. So this is also (and most importantly to me) a very valuable diagnostic tool! There are plenty of quality injector cleaners you can and should already be adding to a tank of gas periodically to keep them from needing a bench cleaning like this! A poorly preforming injector is robbing you of power and MILEAGE! Use injector cleaner on a regular basis, I use it in our cars once a month on a fill up. I use one made by a fellow named Lucas ;-) Get tool, get one!

This is exactly what I needed to clean the old poppet injectors on my GMC sonoma, with the spider injector assembly. It did what it was supposed to do, and it was cheaper than any alternative. I hook up a hose with solvent and air pressure, turn the pressure to around 25 ( normally opens around there for this specific instance) and turn on the device. Let it clear out the solvent a few times and good to go.Worked well and I will use it in the future.

I used to use wires and a 9 volt battery to test my fuel injectors. This tool makes my life so much easier! All you do is plug it in and hook it up to each spark plug to see if the plug is opening and closing as it should. Works flawlessly and makes testing them a breeze. It's very easy to use and I highly recommend it.
