Honestly, I don't own a cat. But a neighborhood cat who is not well cared for has been coming over for food and shelter this winter. I am a dog owner....so I really don't know a lot about cat care, but after the cat decided to stretch and sink his claws into the leather-like material on my recliner, I knew I had to find a solution. After reading such great reviews, I decided on this product, but was concerned that the cat stood up to scratch and may not like the standing position. I set this up in seconds, and the next time my furry friend visited and came inside, he ran immediately to this box, and started scratching away! Literally 2.2 seconds was all it took! Now he comes and snuggles in his box or stands in it and scratches away. PERFECTION!

I bought my cats other, much more expensive scratching pads, which they liked well enough. But eventually they wear out and need to be replaced. At over $100 a piece I didn't want the same ones, but the cheap ones always broke down quickly, and they were too small to support the weight of my chunky girl, who loves to lay on them.Then I found this. It's big enough for her to lie on, and very sturdy, too. The five layers of cardboard make it downright perfect. When one is worn out, I can just flip it over. When both sides are done, I just move it to the bottom and it supports the others. My fat cat loves it (her smaller sister does as well, but she gets chased off when she tries to use it), and sleeps on it all the time. She also loves to just sit there and watch her people. This is the best money I've ever spent on my cats. It's certainly cheaper than new slipcovers! The only thing I'd recommend more is pet insurance- which I sadly didn't buy.

I cut the top of the box it came in and made 2 scratching boxes for them to sit in! My cats love it! I have 2 pads in each and one off to the side. They love sitting in the boxes. Size and price were just right

I have been buying these for years. I keep the older boxes and put the new scratchers in them, as each cats wants their own box. I noticed this time the scratcher is smaller. See attached image. It isn’t much but in this shrinkflation time, it’s disappointing.

I got this for my cats in September 2022, to replace their previous one. They have a lot of options here to scratch, but they both really enjoy the feel of the cardboard. When one side gets used pretty well, I just flip it or trade it out with one down below. The cats love to lay on this box as well, but only when it's full so they're not sitting down in it. It works great, the only cleaning I do is to vacuum around the box, and it's so lightweight that there's no problem moving it. I could not believe when I logged on to Amazon that this ONE BOX has lasted almost 2 years. It probably will make it to 2 full years because I just flipped the last one. They've clawed up the side of the box a bit, but not enough to make a difference in how they use the scratching pad. I am extremely pleased with this product, because it works well, and it lasts.

DIe Kratzbretter sind einfach aber gut, nutzen sich nur langsam ab so das ich 1 Jahr lang die Dinger liegen lassen konnte.Ist eine Seite durchgekratzt einfach umdrehen. In jedem Raum ein Kratzbrett und die kleine liegt auch ganz gerne einfach nur drauf. Aber das Highlight ist der Karton.... Ein Kratzbrett im Karton gelassen und sie schläft super gerne darin, ganz wie auf der Zeichnung am Karton. Katze Lucy sagt 5 Sterne für Kratzbrett und Karton.
