Purchased these to make a cake in a fairy woodland theme. They were super easy to use with fondant. I added some color dust / cocoa powder to the mushrooms after the fact to make them look a little more realistic. They had varying sizes.All of them were perfect for the cake almost life size. Add a little cornstarch to your mold beforehand then tap out the excess and freeze the fondant in them before unmolding for easy removal. I had no issues taking the mushrooms out of the mold. Molds are very well made and silicone, so they are extremely durable and inexpensive. Definitely a value.

I missed that this mold had a mold for the gills of a mushroom, so that was a fun surprise. This was easy to use and clean!My kiddo did not want fondant or white chocolate mushrooms, he wanted marshmallows. I tried two methods, one to microwave the marshmallow then squish it in the mold. The second way was to toast the marshmallow in a pan, then mold it. The first way worked well but was way stickier. Both ways did not work well with the stem molds. So, I just used wire and a mini marshmallows for that.I used Trader Joe's vegan marshmallows, maybe the original gelatin kind would work better. But I am positive that fondant would be the best.I may buy another set to use with clay.

I love this mold! I'm making cupcakes for a friend's woodsy wedding and did a test batch to see if fondant mushroom toppers would work, and they are GREAT! The mold is super easy to use, and I love the gill detail. I found the stems a bit tricky because they're halves you need to stick together, which results in a seam (probably only I would care!), but I just hand molded some and it was great. Highly recommend!

The sample video from the item is titled "How to Make a Resin Mushroom" - but it's not. So I tried to make resin mushrooms. I have a LOT of experience using silicone molds for resin. I've even made my own molds. So I mixed up enough resin to fill all the molds. I coated some with mica and left some alone. I mixed some colorant and mica in the resin so it would photograph more. For the base I tried weighing down the bottom form (Gill texture) that's the upside-down bottle. That did not work out too well - only part of the shroom took an indent. Plus there's only one of those, and there's several shrooms.There's also more caps than stems, so you'll have to make several batches of stems. Then you have to glue the stems together then glue to the shroom. Honestly for resin, these are too much of a bother.For clay or fondant? Sure, fantastic. Press, mold, peel out, let harden or bake. That's what the "How to Make a Resin Mushroom" covers. I was disappointed there was no mold for the shelf mushrooms since they were pictured.

I used these to make mushrooms out of oven bake polymer clay for my hobbit door wreath. They turned out amazing and I was really impressed with the little details!

I work with resin and clay and these haven’t been used since I got them because I honestly don’t know how they work. I’ve never met a mold I couldn’t figure out until now.

Got these yesterday and threw in some candy melts overnight just to get an idea of the details and I'm thrilled. They are beautiful with lots of detail, easy release, and a good selection of shapes and sizes.

Molds are perfect, I have used plaster but unfortunately I have thrown away the instructions on assembly! I've been through the bins but nope! Can someone email the instructions please!?

I use this for clay. The clay releases easily and the mushrooms are lifelike.
