Exactly what I needed. Plug and play! For my fifth wheel camper I could not get my back up camera to work when I plugged in my brakes in the bed of the truck. I’m not sure what it is because I am not a car or truck guy, but I read where the GMC truck doesn’t put out enough power or voltage or something. You take this gadget, plug it in and then take the trailer cord and plug it into this. BOOM everything works as it should. Brakes, lights, and camera all work perfect.

Purchased new travel trailer with per installed Furrion camera system. Took delivery of trailer with 2016 Ram 2500. However, when connected to wife’s 2019 GMC Denali camera did not work. Took to dealer 3 times still would not work. Dealer sworn there was no issue. Couple hours of research online lead me to this online cable. Installed camera immediately worked with no issues. Direct plug in, only problem wish it was about 3 feet instead of only one so it could be secured to trailer instead of all the weight on the truck connector. Is fairly heavy plus the weight of the normal cord. RVdealer was totally unaware of cord. Cause is GMC uses PWM electrical signals for trailer light circuit and camera needs constant voltage.

I have a new GMC 1500 and a New Travel trailer, when I’d plug trailer into my truck my back camera on the trailer would blink on and off losing signal. After some trouble shooting my buddy and I were doing, we found that it was the trucks 7 pin. So I took it to GMC, they couldn’t find a problem with the truck and said it’s probably your trailer and I knew it wasn’t . So I called a friend of mine who has a new GMC 2500 and pulls a 5th wheel with the same camera, he sent me the link to this adapter. After 5 months of being irritated and trying to figure it out I plugged this adapter into my truck and Trailer and BAM Woooo Hoooo my camera works perfectly. This all happened yesterday 7-10-24 .

Don't waste your time or money on a cheaper version of this adapter for a 2021-2024 GMC. Being a smart guy, I saved some money on a different, cheaper adapter. That is exactly what I got and it didn't work. Pulled the trailer to Wisconsin with no rear vision camera. Stopped in Albuquerque, where I purchased the trailer, and they couldn't make the camera work. Finally ordered the Furrion adapter, had it shipped to Wisconsin, and it worked like a Boss. Sometimes saving a few dollars isn't worth the trouble!

I wanted to drop some additional commentary above what everyone has already said. Concerning the "Review" portion of this comment, It absolutely works, and it's absolutely the simplest fix to getting your RV cameras working again on your GM vehicle. Plug and Play. Unless you want to start mucking about with your vehicles wiring, or add a dedicated circuit (which could be done in several ways), then this adapter is the quickest cleanest most straight forward solution. My irritation is that this is needed at all. GMC/Chevy make a great big deal about their towing package and all of the new towing features they cram into their trucks. And yet, nobody in the entire freaking company tested this out with an RV backup camera? RV backup cameras are ubiquitous. Virtually EVERYBODY that owns an RV has one. Hey GM,,,,, how about as part of your fancy towing system, you wire the dang 7 pin harness with constant 12v for the dang trailer lights? Eh?What's worse is this has been a problem for GM since at the very least, since 2019. That's 5 model years. This wasn't an oversite, or at least, GM has no intentions of fixing this. They don't have to redesign their fancy trucks, they just need to provide constant 12v power to the dang trailer plug. That's all. Of all the possible fixes, this MUST be the easiest of all. This brings me to Furrion and this part. While it does correct GM's screwup and it's the simplest of all solutions, the price feels like a hard slap in the face on top of GM's insult. The part is too expensive in my opinion for what it is. At consumer prices, there are $40 in parts here at the outside. And there is nothing fancy about it going on. It's simply wired to provide a constant 12v to the running light circuit. Its not like there is some digital circuitry involved. The plug is just wired a bit differently than the stock plug configuration. But, if you don't want the hassle of either making one of these on your own, or having to rewire your RV in some way, and you want fast, easy, simple, then you are going to pay $70 to make your camera work with your new GM truck. This is called having you over a barrel, with all your little mind can extrapolate from that.As a side note, not only was my RV camera not working, But my brake lights on my RV were also flashing/flickering when the vehicle was completely off. As long as the harness was plugged into my truck, the brake lights would flash. When the truck was running, the lights seemed fine. No, my flashers were not on. No my headlights were not on. The truck was outwardly completely dead. But it was making the RV brake lights flicker/flash. The Furrion adapter corrected that issue too. All of these issues are down to how GM manages the power in their vehicles. Providing a constant 12v to the running light circuit (they use some sort of pulse width modulation for their LED lights) corrects all of these issues.Curiously, my RV dealer, who isn't exactly tiny having 10 stores, claims that they were completely unaware of this issue until only a couple weeks ago, and they don't carry this in stock with their Furrion cameras because they simply didn't know about it. But this has been a problem ever since GM started using LED running lights, or at the very least, since 2019. That's 5 model years. Even the reviews on Amazon are talking about 2022 and 2023 models. How the heck has no one run into this problem way earlier? If your GMC/Chevy truck has LED running lights, it's likely you'll need this part to make your RV camera work. And as far as I know, GM is the only manufacturer that has this issue. Seems funny that Ford and Dodge have LED lights, but they can figure out how to make trailer lighting work properly.

The adapter was used with my 2024 Silverada. Unfortunately, new trucks couldn't fully link or play the rear and side cameras on my 2024 Keystone Travel Trailer (RV) withoutthe adapter.

I purchased the Furrion Vision S 7-Way Adapter with high hopes of seamlessly integrating it with my Furrion camera and my 2024 Silverado 2500. Unfortunately, the adapter did not work with my setup as expected. Despite troubleshooting and attempting to make it compatible, it simply would not cooperate with my specific RV camera system and vehicle model. After struggling with compatibility issues, I ultimately decided to return both the adapter and the camera. It was a disappointing experience overall, and I would caution others to ensure compatibility with their particular devices before making a purchase.

Worked perfectly with my 2023 GMC Sierra AT4 3500. No issues and allowed me to connect to my Furrion rear camera on the RV.

I have 2021 one ton GMC, first time ITried to plug the monitor into the truck itWouldn’t connect. I tried everything from the troubleshooting guide. My dealership even went so far as to give me a replacement monitor and camera. When I went to Change the camera I did notice that the camera power supply cable was pinched and thought I had it figured. It was only after contacting Furrion directly that someone there let me know I needed this adapter because of the PWM power from the truck. Plugged it in and everything worked perfectly. Too bad it is so expensive and would have saved me a lotOf headaches if there had been a disclaimer on the original camera box.

This device was needed in order to make the necessary power connection between by 2021 Chev Silverado 3500 and my Furrion rear view camera on my RV Trailer. It is very simple to install, just plug it in to the RV electrical pin plug assembly and it will provide the necessary power to your Furrion camera in order to send the video signal from the RV Furrion camera to your in-cab Furrion monitor.

This is a product that is needed if your tow vehicle has L.E.D lights. I think that the mechanism that allows the cameras to work should be built into the trailer wireing so that the pigtail can be eliminated ( one less connection) it was also a little pricey but no choice. To avoid purchaseing the pigtail you could wire the cameras direct to batrery but then no way to turn them off

Was a must have to have the cameras work on a newer truck.
