If you've ever GM'ed a tabletop role playing game like Dungeons & Dragons, you've probably had to find *some* way to keep track of player and NPC initiative order. This is a pretty neat solution that is endlessly reusable. Super simple idea, but sometimes the simple ideas turn out great. Simple magnets hold things in place and you can move the boards around quickly and easily. Pretty clever tool.

This was my son's favorite stocking stuffer. It stands up sturdily and is easy to write on and wipe off. No complaints

We use a specifically in a group of six playing Dungeons & Dragons. This has helped us to remember our place in battles. The fact that there are several tags that are erasable with Dry erase markers makes us very functional. I think it is built quite well for such a small item and it is very easy to set up. Once it set up, it maintains its stability. Overall, this has made gaming, more convenient and fun.

The stand is acrylic and fits easily and quickly into the base. Magnets hold the tiles in place. They are easy to move. The colored markers include erasures for making changes to the tiles. One of the big things that tabletop roleplayers contend with is keeping track of who does what when on combat. Lots of methods of tracking initiative order exist, and this is one of the better methods.This version of the stand-alone tracker is simple and no nonsense. No extra frills like making it look like a medieval signpost, just the bare bones to write the name of the combatant and easily change the order as conditions evolve. The magnets are pretty strong and the stand not too flimsy, being made of thick acrylic that fits together rather well.The problem I find with these is that you either have it of to one side or one side or the other had trouble reading it as it faces the wrong way. Since this one is clear acrylic for the stand and opaque white acrylic for the tile, you can write the combatant name on both sides so it can be seen no matter where you're sitting.This comes with dry erase markers to use with it and the box is very decorative. It packs flat and assembles quickly, so it is not a distraction from the game. At $20 this is an affordable accessory of good quality, and Futhark is a reliable brand.

My players are a little young, so sometimes they can get distracted when it's not their turn. Before now I used to use my phone to keep track of initiative when playing TTRPGs, but since switching to this my players know ahead of time when their turn is coming up and are better able to follow the flow of battle. This has led them to being a lot more engaged and minimized them getting distracted, which in turn speeds up their turns and ends up giving them less time to become distracted.Minor note: one (out of 12) of the magnets popped out the first time it was used. I just put a drop of super glue in, popped the magnet back in and haven't had an issue with that since.

Got this for my roommate who is a DM. He really liked it, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well built and designed it was. The magnets are strong, there are plenty of initiative tracker boards, and the beacon is sturdy. Hope to have one myself one day!
