We love this pen and have had it for about eight months. I have two miniature dachshunds, one of whom had figured out how to jump over her previous 24†black wire Xpen (you know the ones). I leave them in an enclosed area in our apartment while we are away and to sleep at night. I have always battled with setting up one of those crappy black ones from Petsmart in a way I actually liked, and then would have to fold it in and out every time I wanted to let the girls out of their area, which was at least twice a day. Then, to get into the area with them, I’d have to straddle the pen. Well I got pregnant and pretty soon it wasn’t safe to do that anymore— So I spent the pretty penny for this bad boy and I am sooo glad I did. First and foremost, it’s taller, so no more jumping— easy fix there. Secondly, it’s made of premium materials, the coating is wipe-able and actually ceramic-like. In just a year and a half my Xpen had rust, and the connectors were all falling off. This is built with modularity in mind and I LOVE the rod system to put it together. I love that if I still feel like I need more panels, I can buy and add them. Vice versa if I decide I need to put my girls in a smaller area. No more folding up the Xpen so one side is bulky and awkward. The rubber feet on the bottom of each panel keep it from sliding around too!! (That is another complaint I had about the Xpen). It’s actually quite study, can withstand being jumped against, and the (separate) wall connectors make this pen basically permanent where you put it. As an added bonus it looks classy (at least the white one is, can’t speak for the black but I assume it’s the same). Guests have complimented this thing, and that’s perfect because I never take it down and it’s part of our home now. And the gate— having an actual door on the pen saved my life. Now I have a newborn and I am SO happy to have to straddle that damn pen.The one and ONLY gripe I have is that the door requires either two hands or, if you’re me, a hand and foot. I lift the bottom with my toes/side of my foot and the top with my hand to get in, especially because I am usually also holding baby in the other hand. I wish FXW had considered making a door adapter for one handed operation. I’m sure I can Jerry rig something in the future, but for now I’ve just suffered with it. It’s mainly just a huge pain if the door closes behind me while I am inside, then I have to bend over and open from the outside. Not super accessible but that tradeoff is worth it for me.In the end, I bought a second 8+Door set to combine with my current set for when we take a two week holiday this winter. We will be at a cabin, and I want to set up a yard for the girls to run in while I’m mildly distracted with the baby and can’t watch them as closely as I normally do. Seriously considering buying a third or some extra panels so that I have a huge area/options.To me, worth every single penny, HANDS DOWN!!! I wish I had found this BEFORE I got them as puppies, would’ve saved me money on those crappy Xpens, and a ton of headaches. (Same with those damn collapsible wire crates but that’s a different review LOL) If it’s in your cart, pull the trigger, you probably won’t regret it.

Overall, this pen is very well-made. It seems very sturdy. I would recommend that it is probably best for small to medium sized dogs who aren’t major climbers or extreme jumpers. But as you can tell my 45 pound boxer fits comfortably in it with plenty of room to spare, plus the 32 inch is a nice height for most pups.I think it would be great for older dogs that just need a safe space to rest in that they can be monitored in. Also is great for introducing new dogs to one another while still being able to remain apart!Seems great for travel and indoor/outdoor use! Was very easy to assemble! Seems pretty sturdy and has little grips on the bottoms. Also comes with a few spare pieces, which is super nice! Can also be assembled into many shapes and spaces, and used as a room divider if needed!Packaging was very neat and well done. Zero complaints! Also great that you can buy more panels to expand if needed!Definitely worth spending the money on something that’s nice and will last through many dogs’ lives! The coating seems like it will repeal water and dirt and be easy to spray off and clean as needed!Great peace of mind for our future puppy knowing he will be in a safe space not getting into things he shouldn’t when not monitored!

With the advice of our breader we purchased the 6 panel 32in High pen for our new, very active puppy. This pen has become her safe place and our peace of mind when we can't watch her activity or be at home. Her bed, toys, food and water are inside the pen.We often leave the gate open for her to go in and out during the day.The water proof mat, sold by the company who make the pen works great to protect our new wood flooring. (Washes great, and air dried)We have purchased a second 6 panel pen for across our front porch entry to be able to enjoy our pup while relaxing and keeping her safe. (the pen gate is easy for going in and out and doesn't require attaching to house.I highly recommended this brand. Looks very nice anywhere. Made very sturdy, easy to put together or breakdown and store, multiple shapes and safe place day or night for 1 or multiple pups. All of the above and very afordable.

This pen is very well made and is packaged well. It takes a few minutes to assemble and the variety of shape options makes it easy to fit anywhere in your home. I purchased the washable pee blanket as well. Excellent quality and weight, washes great and is an absolute game changer. I bought a second one so I can have one to use as the other is being washed ... 100% floor protection ... I have wood floors and the grip rubber dots on the bottom of the blanket holds it in place ... no shifting. Top shelf products froming from FXW brand!

As expected - great quality and easy construction. I've got it set up as an indoor puppy pen but will transition to an outdoor pen in a few months. Good height and size to transition into my dogs puppy to adult life.

Most of the panels are showing signs of rust and some have either been repeatedly rubbed together or I’ve received a pre-used item.Bent and broken panels that have exposed, pointy rods which will be a hazard to my dogs if I use it.If it were in decent condition it would be a good product.
