This lock has all the bells and whistles I could want and may buy more to build into the TTLock ecosystem. My only gripe is that the reader will not recognize one of my fingerprints. It recognizes 3 fingers, but not sure what the issue is with one of thumbs. The passcodes work great and the ability to unlock remotely (from couch) and via temporary or 1 time codes is fantastic for visitors/workers in your home. So far a 5-star; will update if that changes.

I have a few TT Lock products and at first one I bought, was not impressed as you have to buy a hub for gateway access to use remotely. As for products, they work great, this lock was quick and easy to install except for the wire. It did not want to come through the handle and was a little frustrating. I ended up, tying a string and pulling it through slowly. I like the app a lot, very easy to use and navigate once you learn it. I use for interior door and have no issues recognizing my fingerprint. Also, heavy duty handles and feels very sturdy.

Search for Catchface locks and a hardware support page before buying this product. If you don’t find it, avoid this lock. It installs easily and works great out of the box, but there is no company to contact when it stops working reliably. I’ve learned the hard way that reliable after-purchase support is crucial for these types of locks. After less than a year of minimal use — only 5-10 days a month — this lock stopped unlocking reliably. The fingerprint would be accepted, but the handle wouldn’t turn (catch on) the opening mechanism. It would open after 3-7 times times, but there was no rhyme or reason. Using the app, which improved significantly during the year that I’ve used it, I submitted a request for support. Unfortunately, the app developer referred me to the manufacturer of the hardware, as the app is not developed by the manufacturer. It’s really unfortunate, because the fingerprint sensor and app are great; however, these types of locks have “clutches” that the fingerprint sensor engages to make the lock unlock, and they seem to be the lowest-quality part in the product. This is the second lock that has had the same problem; this lock replaced an Ultraloq UL1, which exhibited the same behavior, and it’s fingerprint sensor was horrible. At the time, Ultraloq had technical support, which is better than Catchface.I wonder if this manufacturer knows it’s Catchface-branded products are unreliable, hoping that customers replace defective Catchface locks with other brands made by the same company. Churning customers is not ethical, but it would not be the first time it’s happened, and selling on Amazon makes it incredibly easy (and likely very profitable).

Guests had a really hard time with the lock. You have to touch it to wake up, and then enter #s, and hit the "#" to unlock. It also kept resetting to where only up unlocks instead of down. I loved it for personal use.Note: remote unlock and password setting requires a WiFi gateway sold separately. Also, remote unlock requires Bluetooth access to setup so do that before you leave the property.

I gotta admit, I don’t usually write reviews, but this unit here is pretty convenient & really easy to use… i do wish the fingerprint reader was a tad bit better, but i found a workaround making it recognize my thumb better, just setup the same finger twice as two separate fingers and you won’t have issues gaining access. The manual key and the key code options are a definite plus & the option to connect a external battery if all else fails is convenient as well. Also purchased the wifi hub for it to allow people to gain access while I’m not at home via the app is well worth the extra money spent, it also notifies you when the door has been opened in case someone gains entry they aren’t supposed to have, aside from the fingerprint reader workaround, I would say I have no complaints, really solid, would definitely buy again!

Not really a need for a photo as it just plugs into a usb wall plug and lights up. It's so light that I have it plugged in behind the dryer and stuck it to the wall. With this Gateway, I am able to unlock the door remotely from work if they kid's fingerprints are not working (for being dirty, wet, etc...) and that makes it really convenient. My mom stopped by recently and I created her a temporary code to get in and it took less than a minute. If you got the door lock and want remote access, I highly recommend this gateway.
