I absolutely love these socks. I bought them for my Pilates classes. They quickly became the favorite part of my Pilates classes because I could not stand the instructor, Michelle. Michelle is some hippy nutjob who secretly likes watching women trapped on the reformer and struggling. Imagine 12 women in a dark room flailing around in all different directions. And she would laugh and laugh. But these socks made me feel powerful and pretty. The little pink ribbon is so dainty, yet strong. She could never take the pretty sock feeling away from me. Though she did try.

Probably great for pure barre but I do Barr3 and there is a lot more cardio and movement and the socks are too flimsy/fragile for it. The stick is great on the bottom but they are not sturdy enough for more intense barre.

As of this writing, I have only worn these once but I am quite pleased with them. I usually have cold feet and these help warm them a bit. Snug but not too snug. Good grip. Only thing is the sock sometimes shifts when I get into a pose.

I love my Gaiam Barre Socks! They look great, give good traction when doing yoga, and are perfect for wearing around the house. Have worn them for years and wouldn't ever want to be without them!

These socks have a good grip and are cost-effective compared to the pricey grip socks sold in Pilates studios. However, the fabric quality is disappointing—it feels almost plasticky and not very comfortable. While they serve their purpose for a lower price, I’m not sure they’re worth spending money on. Personally, I’d prefer to invest in the more expensive cotton options that last longer and feel better during use. Still use then from time to time but not the best pair for my Pilates workouts. If you're on a tight budget, these are a decent temporary option, but they don’t feel like a long-term solution.

These socks slip more than going barefoot. They seem to be big for the size ordered and have caused me to almost fall on the reformer. My instructor has the same problems with hers and we have stopped wearing them.

I have been using a black pair of these for 2-3 years and finally purchased this 2-pack in purple.I love being barefoot, but at the pilates studio (or any public space), I want something on my feet for hygiene reasons. I used to simply wear sport socks, but I found they were slippery and too thick for pilates. I really only chose the Gaiam pair because I recognized the name and the reviews seemed fine. Given I haven't tried any other brands or styles of yoga socks, I have nothing to compare to. The fact that I've purchased additional pairs of the same means I'm happy with what I have.Construction:- thin, and not restrictive, so it feels close to being barefoot- not restrictive, but doesn't shift because of the straps so that I don't need to fuss or readjust the socks during my workout- even though the straps feel quite delicate, they are sturdy (haven't ripped)- the sticky dots on the sole provide strong grip - there's zero chance of your foot slipping off anything- I appreciate full toe coverage when it comes to socks- foot temperature remains comfortableProduct Care: I hand wash with some detergent after soaking for 20 minutes in a basin with oxi. Hang dry. Like I've said, my first pair has been with me for 2-3 years. I wear it only once-a-week at the studio. It's held up well. I purchased this 2-pack just to get some new colours and not because the other pair was shredded or damaged.
