About this item

  • Specifically designed for US/Canada market with true 1/2 inch male NPT threaded connector and PSI units. It is the perfect replacement for the unreliable mechanical switches with springs. It works perfect with any type of well water pumps, submersible pumps, air compressors and any other type of water and air pumps.
  • It has an automatic feature that stops the pump in case of well water shortage. It prevents your pump from burning out if there is no more water at the source.
  • It works perfect in straight connection with any pump up to 1.5HP (1.1kW). For bigger pumps, a relay must be used.
  • Adjustable hi/low pressure as simple as pressing a button. The digital display shows the actual pressure, so there is no need for other pressure gauges.
  • 220V, 50/60Hz, 5A, 1.1kW, 0-145 PSI, 1/2 inch male NPT threaded connector, waterproof IP66

Pressure range: 0 - 145 PSI (0 - 10 BAR). Power supply: 220V AC 50/60Hz. Max. current: 5A Power: 1.5HP (1.1kW) Max. working fluid temperature: 175° F (80° C). Threaded connector size: 1/2” male NPT. Waterproof IP rating: IP66. Long service life: over 20 mil. start/stop cycles.

For a 1/2 inch brass male mounting fixture the wrench section is very thin and no conventional open end wrench fits in the 1/8 "gap. The cable for power was longer than the motor cable and very short to reach my junction box, had to relocate/rewire more than expected. At the end it was exactly what I was looking for.It took 5min to program and I tested itWorked perfect. After programing cut on and cut off settings if you loose power it retains the parameters the only bad part is after program is done and you drain the pressure completely it will fault out and lockup if it takes longer than wxpwcted to reach the pressure operating windows.Other than this it is a great product

This “smart” controller implements faulty logic; has a low input pressure “shutdown “ feature meant to protect a secondary pump that draws water from a tank (aerator in my case). If tank runs dry due to primary circuit failure, controller is supposed to shutdown secondary pump. This controller, on detection of low pressure, shuts secondary pump off, but then periodically retries forever, or in my case, until it fried the secondary pump. Complete fail, cost me a $500 motor. Do not recommend.

Replaced my mechanical pressure switch on my submersible well pump. It’s a 1.5HP single phase pump with a control box.I just removed the old switch and installed this one on the same wires (2 wires for power IN and 2 wires for power “out” )10 minutes install BUT please note that because the thread on this switch is 1/2” and normally (mine was) mechanical pressure switches are 1/4” you will need to run to the hardware store and buy a reduction 1/2” x 1/4” (I found at ACE but Home Depot or any hardware store will probably have it).I also added a 90 degree elbow so the display will be facing up, easier to seeYou can easily adjust any pressure for “on & off” separately and so choose the differential you want - Mine is set to 55-70 psiThere also a “Dry fault” protection: if pump runs dry (no pressure) due to no water on the well or a broken pipe the switch turns the pump off automatically and shows a LED alarmThat’s exactly what I wanted!Note to the manufacturer:1) You should offer option of 1/4” thread2) Next step: why not a WiFi interface with an App that we can control the switch from any smartphone AND receive alerts like no pressure, overtime running, and maybe even a water consumption meter!I will pay good 💰💰💰💰 for something like that!Home automation is the future!

I replaced a standard well pump pressure controller with this because it had a pressure sensor and display as well as automatic shut-off when no water was detected from a dry well. It also had a customizable time delay to prevent rapid pump on-off when it sensed the tank was full. It's a shame it failed so quickly because it all worked.I won't be buying it again.

Works great vs the mechanical ones that are so hard to adjust.Update after 11 months:I have 2 units one on the pump going to the house and the other for the sulf removal tank. The units worked great for about one year so far. The complete range pressure adjustment is great for the sulf tank pump as I can go down to 2 psi. I damaged one switch by installing it in short and it started to not shut off at right pressure. Purchased anther and no issues.

This product is doing exactly what I needed to address what the old-style mechanical pressure switches can't do - which is to reduce the pressure shut-on and -off range to be less than (or greater is you want) the standard 20 psi range between shut-on and off. With this product I was able to adjust both the shut-on and shut-off pressure levels independently from each other. In my case, I had enough water pressure (65 psi) on the high end (aka the shut-off point) but the pressure dropped too low - meaning it doped a full 20 psi before the well turned back on - and that was too low for our house needs. The result is a much improved working faucet pressure in the hours. The down-side is that your well pump will turn on sooner and more frequently in some cases where the pressure range has been set to a smaller range. And I for one am fine with that since now I don't have stare at dribbling faucet or shower and wait for the pump to start up again. Also, this is a recent install and so I can't speak to the durability of the product. And further, the instructions are pretty good, but you may need to disable the pressure fluctuation sensor (especially right after you install the product) as it seems to be very sensitive to what I would describe as a minor start-up pressure fluctuation) because it may automatically shut down if it senses that. In my case, I knew what was going on and knew that my pump was working just fine so I disabled this function and everything has been working fine. One last note, you need to install a check valve in the system and the instructions are a little murky on this. The check valve needs to be installed on the outlet side of the pump and before the new pressure regulator. In other words, first there is the pump outlet, then check valve, then the new pressure regulator and then the water goes into your pressure tank. So far, I would recommend this product for what I needed.

I was very surprised to see that this pressure switch works great, I bought so many over the years to control my water pump but non worked as reliable and great as this. I bought a spare to be sure I have another. The mechanical switches always failed and adjustment was impossible. This is intuitive and lasts a long time. Great product for pressure control, highly recommend.

it's junk; don't buy it. I didn't check before mounting it. after I requested a refund, they sent me a new one and charged me after a month
