I wasn't sure this splash guard would fit my older disposal (an Insinkerator 777ss), as it isn't advertised as being compatible with it. My disposal is designed with the splash guard integrated, such that a true replacement splash guard could only be installed by removing the disposal itself ... what a pain! Not to worry. This new splash guard drops right in from the top and fits perfectly, positioned just above the original one. I just had to cut out the remains of that old one, and now I'm good to go. So happy that my dish scrubber tool will no longer keep falling into the disposal as it was a total pain to remove it each time! I saw reviews that the water doesn't always drain through this splash guard, but I don't have that problem.

Pulled out the old one and slipped in the new. A perfect fit. Lets water and small food scraps flow through while preventing utensils from falling in and splash back.

It fit well and looked good. However the opening when relaxed, didn't allow water to drain as well, and I know garbage disposals last longer when they have enough water to spin the debris with to chop it up-the motor will last longer.What I did was I took a pair of scissors and for the 4 parts of the rubber that hang lowest when installed, I cut off about 1/8" of rubber (past the little reverse-embossed dot) from the lower hanging pieces (4 of them total). This made the opening wider in the center and allowed more water to drain. My Moen garbage disposal with the original splash guard that had a wider hole originally, just gave up (or a knife cut the rubber without us knowing). This replacement worked well, but I just had to modify the product to make it drain better. For that, 4 stars not 5, because I had to modify it to make it work right.For the fit of the new splash guard, it fit well, but I measured first to make sure it worked. Pushed it down until I felt it pop into place and it's good.

Perfect fit for the sink garbage deposal unit. Looks exactly as described and measurements are correct for the Insinkerator garbage deposal unit. Easy to install.

Fits the entrance for my Moen disposal perfectly and actually keeps the water and food down better than the old one. Great to get rid of the old smelly one and still have a second one in the pack to replace sooner when this one starts to get gross.
