Used for insulation in outdoor rabbit hutch. Spreads great, clean, and does what it was purchased for.

Bought this for bedding for stray cats. Read that you can’t put blankets out for them. Placed a couple boxes with this as bedding. Hopefully helped save a few from the winter cold. Good value.

Bails of hay can be deceiving so the one thing I look at is weight. The weight is listed as 27 lbs. That would mean a VERY compressed bail. Instead this is more like 3 lbs. I didn't weigh it so this is an approximation from lifting it.Considering I'm buying this to spread on raised beds to protect the ground from the heat of the summer this isn't any better than buying the bagged stuff that has tacking on it to help it stay in position (used when seeding large areas to keep seed in place and hide it from birds. That tacking isn't going to affect anything I'm planting and I can buy about the same amount of material as this for around 20 USD, and if I really want a lot I can just go to a store that's more like a farmer's supply and buy regular bails. They're about the same price as this but WAY more material. If you can accept tack on the material as in you're using something for landscaping/gardening of any sort save your money and get something else. If you need bedding material I guess this is OK? I don't know for sure.Seller needs to change the weight listed under product description so it doesn't confuse anyone else.
