this is a superior Y valve....less likely than average to leak or get corroded and less likely than average to degrade internally and become hard to turn on/off.....much much more durable than plastic valves

On the farm the hose splinter makes it easy to fill two water tanks with ease. The cut on and off fixture is easy to turn which means a lot if you have grandchildren helping you on the farm. I highly recommend this hose splinter, and the price is good. Jordan Farms

This is a pretty good facet splitter. The only problem I have with it is after installing it, it leaked around the base. This was the reason I was buying this in the first place being that the one I had before was leaking like crazy. I ended up having to place two of the gaskets that come with this inside of it because placing only one inside allowed fir it to leak. After placing two inside of it and making sure to tighten it securely produced no more leak. I have noticed after reading reviews on just about every water hose splitter on Amazon that most of these things leak. This is a brass splitter and not made of some kind of plastic so I think it will last way longer that all of the plastic and rubber made splitters.
