These are solid and fit in a standard drill socket. They dig into the hard clay-like soil where we live, and obviously work fine in our raised garden beds. Great for quickly drilling holes to plant bulbs while gardening. Two sizes are included. The pictures can be confusing but you get a big one and a small one, both work well.

I probably should have paid closer attention to the listing description. This says it fits a hex drive drill and that's what I have. However, mine is apparently a 1/4" and this only fits a 3/8 " so I can't use it. Looks fine, otherwise, but there is no way for me to test it out for durability or usability.

The Garden Planting Auger Drill Bits by Asoleo come in a two-pack with one 3.5" x 16" and one 1.6" x 16.8". They both have a 3/8" hex bit top to conveniently fit your everyday-average drill. Just attach this to your drill and easily drill the holes in your garden for bulb planting or transplanting. No more back-breaking hand work. This is done in a jiffy and saved me hours of work! Plus, all of my garden holes are now a uniform shape! With its rust preventative coating and being crafted from high-quality alloy-steel; these augers are built to last!

I live in an area where the ground is hard and full of rocks of various sizes, and these Asoleo garden auger drill bits have been a lifesaver! They’ve allowed me to finally dig smaller holes with ease—not for post holes, but perfect for planting bulbs or smaller plants. I’ve been able to go about a foot to 16 inches deep, which is exactly what I needed. Both sizes (3.5" x 16" and 1.6" x 16.8") are incredibly sturdy and work well with my 3/8" hex drive drill. They handle tough, compact soil surprisingly well, even when encountering smaller rocks. The augers make what used to be back-breaking work a breeze, saving me so much time and effort. If you’re dealing with challenging soil and need a reliable tool for planting or landscaping, I highly recommend these auger drill bits. They’re a game-changer!

Every spring my wife wants me to plant/replace some bulbs. The ground is too hard to try that now as winter has arrived. I am looking forward to using them in the spring and summer. They will chuck up into my power drill and I can make holes much easier that trying to dig with a shovel. These are like small augers. You get two sizes which is great as bulbs vary in size depending on your flower type. If needed, these would also be great for just breaking up the soil. They should work for what we need and hopefully will lead to a lot less stress for me.

We plant a lot of bulbs here on our farm both for flowers and for garden produce like garlic. These auger drill bits will make life so much easier this spring. Sadly, it’s frozen solid here in the north right now, so we couldn’t really fully test these out. But they seem solidly made and well put together. They do fit our drill nicely. It is nice that there are 2 sizes as well. We have sandy loam, so we’re pretty confident these are going to work well for us. If we have issues using them, I will come back and update this review. So far, we’re pleased and would buy again. Good value for price.
