Today I made hummus and used this rocking garlic press to press two cloves of garlic for the recipe. I was happy they give you a little garlic peeler rubber deal and that worked great as long as you cut off the root of the garlic clove. Then you put the garlic in side and roll it and out it pops with the peel off. Nice!To use the garlic press you really need a chopping board or some sort of cutting board to work with. Then put the garlic clove on the board and press down on the garlic making sure it doesn't slip out from between the press and board. This is easier said than done but when I used both hands and press down with my arms I can get the garlic to press through. It is still easier to do than with a garlic press especially after 50! Being you can use the force of your whole upper body to do the job!The hummus I made tastes more garlicky and good than anything I've ever made before. This press may be the secret to bringing out the spicy flavors of garlic like you won't believe. Well worth using! Definitely easier than mincing the garlic by hand. It bent the first time we used it, wastes so much garlic, you have to press really hard to even get a little bit of a garlic clove through the holes. Absolute waste of money.

Great helper in kitchen for smashing garlic, ginger, turmeric and spices that need to be in smaller pieces. Works well with pieces of butter and soft cheeses for topping breads, soups, vegetables etc. easy clean up with soap and water.

Not very useful, hard to crush garlic and hard to clean off of tool. I would not recommend!

I was actually hoping for more, but using these is not as efficient as I hoped for. You have to push really strongly on these devices onto that garlic and then it squashes the garlic more than grate it. I think I end up throwing much more of the garlic away and just wasting good garlic. I would not buy them again, but there are some devices that do their job much better out there, just not these so much.
