When using, just take a small amount of embers and pull them apart, placing it around the burner ports' front and back, not to clump it on the gas ports.

It is easy to use and made great filler that made the fire place full. It was great value for the money and looks and functions great. We have been using it for almost a year because I wanted to know that it did not tire black and it did not and looks almost just like it did new. Great product highly recommend!

This package comes with a bag of the wool and a separate bag of the vermiculite which was a nice surprise. I placed the vermiculite on the burner tray first and placed the wool on top. It really spreads out the flames and gives a real wood burning fire look. The first picture is with the fire on and the second picture is after the fire is extinguished. The bags are huge! I have a ton left over!! Nice product, great value! Definitely recommend buying.

We bought these rocks/wool embers after updating our fireplace. We love the color of the rocks and wool and how it compliments the stone around our fireplace. It took about 2.5 bags to fill up the bottom of the fireplace. I wish it came with more product so you don’t have to buy multiple bags. The directions say not to place the wool over the gas pipe so we need to fix that. But we haven’t quite gotten the wool embers to glow yet even directly over the flame. To share, we turned on the gas briefly twice since it’s almost summer. I’m sure we will get those embers glowing this fall.

Didn't expect quite a big bag, maybe it's so big because they don't last very long? I'm on my first winter using this in two fireplaces, and even if I change out the embers once a year, I should have enough to last me the rest of my life.All in all they work very well, giving a nice red/amber glow in an otherwise plain blue-flame gas fireplace.
