I've had these gauges for a couple of months now. I've used one to monitor one of my two tanks. I really just need to know how much is left in one because as soon as it's empty I swap tanks and make a note to refill the empty one. They do the job and the dial is easy to read and understand. I'm happy with the purchase.They are easy to install if you don't have covered tanks. I have an Airstream and there's not much room or gas hose to do an easy install. It would be easier if the cover was removed but that's even more of a pain. But that's not an issue with the gauge, just with the installation environment.I know some have complained about propane gauges not being very accurate. I just need to know ABOUT how much is in the tank. If it goes below half I know I have to refill it soon and to make sure the other is full.Propane measurements can differ depending on the weather. When it's hot propane expands and the tank will read higher. When it's cold the gas is more compressed and the tank will read low. This isn't going to be as accurate as your car's fuel gauge, which has a floating indicator in liquid fuel. This is measurement of liquid gas that become a gas when pressure in the tank drops. The gauge reads that pressure and the lower the pressure the lower the gauge will read.

I bought this item after the propane ran out unexpectedly while doing a BBQ. I also have an emergency generator that runs on gasoline and propane, so having an indication of how much propane is left is very useful. This accessory is very easy to install and does not require tools (it is assembled with your hands). Physically it is sandwiched between the propane tank and the existing pressure regulator. The scale that shows the content is very easy to read and can be distinguished from a suitable distance. I find it a very useful instrument at a very affordable price.

I could never figure out how much propane I had in the tanks on my RV until I installed these gauges. With just a quick glance, I know exactly how much propane is in each tank. These were extremely simple to install and they work great.

Doesn’t work properly. One of them said it was completely empty when actually it only needed 1.7 pounds and a 30 pound tank and the other one says it is almost empty and it’s actually almost full. With about these January 15, I just use them for the first time this weekend at the race and I cannot return because my return was up on February 15 and it’s February 21.
