Yeah I know....A review on a V-belt.Let me tell you, Gates is the way to go. I had about 30K on a Goodyear belt that was installed two years ago. That belt was not as taut when initially installed as this one is. Not being taut translated into having to adjust the tension on the belt after three days of driving and the belt stretching. The Gates went right on and once adjusted stayed adjusted and I have zero noise. The Goodyear belt was replaced because it was fraying on the sides.I inspected the running groves for cracking with no cracking noted. You may think a belt is a belt right? In my experience, No it is not. Do the job right the first time. Get a Gates Belt.

I’m just a novice when it comes to working on your car. But it only took me 15 minutes to install. I’m a month in and no more belt squeal. Will keep updating if that changes. One tip if your tackling it yourself for the first time. Mark the position of the top alternator adjusting bolt on the slide bracket with a sharpie but before removal. When installing new belt it gives you a better idea of what the tension should be. Very easy to use a pry bar to that alignment mark and tighten down.

Product is incorect size. The Amazon Listing is incorrect; Gates Belt Part No. K040465 is too short to fit 2012 Toyota Yaris with air conditioning, as listing conditions says it will. Learning this cost me $50 US, paying a professional Auto Mechanic to replace my old 2012 Toyota Yaris Hatchback Serpentine Belt with a NEW one from a local auto-parts store.Amazon; Please update this listing to the CORRECT part number. ** Thank you **

This fit my 2007 yaris like a glove.. I put on a cheapper aftermarket master craft no name belt on 1st and it would squeak all the time.. I thought a belt was just a belt.. but now I believe that get the good one from the start.. this Gates belt is great.. so I spent double the money plus time.. anyways both think twice about buying this belt..

Worked great in a 2008 Yaris hatchback, previously had another brand installed purchased off Amazon but it squealed since day one. This one I have approximately 2000km and not a single chirp
