Easy install, and has been working great on my vehicle. I push my car a lot so I had to go with this gates timing belt. I recommend when doing this buy the tool to hold your camshaft gears while installing properly.

Installed this as part of my first ever timing belt change. I found it easier to put the belt in place around all the pulleys and the idler pulley, then slide the tensioner pulley in behind the belt and install the bolt. Follow tensioning instructions especially the part about turning the crank 1-5/6 rotations then tension. Makes everything go smoothly!

Bought a cheaper quality belt and ended up with a $200 tow bill!!! Get the Gates quality and keep the extra $ for other goodies. I regularly autocross my Miata and the cheap belt lasted less than 10k miles!!!!

Kevlar Timing Belt at a rubber belt price. This is the 2nd Gates Racing belt I've owned between 4 of these engines and they've always withstood 100k+ miles with no timing cover.

This belt is louder than stock replacement type belts. Way overkill for street driven cars with non-boosted power levels. I regret buying this annoyingly loud belt. I drove close to 300 miles and the whirring noise was still distractingly loud. I don't think these belts break in. Also the noise got worse when the engine was hot as the engine expands but this monster belt does not, thus making it too tight. I got the noise down to an acceptable level by adjusting the measured deflection between the cam pulleys to the larger end of the factory spec range.

Good product but it should be manufactured for 25mm width with 144 teeth so that it will be a perfect fit for Malaysian made Proton cars which are using CamPro engine.
