Exact fit and function for a 2001 Honda Odyssey engine code J35A1. Great value. All of the other items in this kit will have to be removed to facilitate water pump replacement. So, this is definitely worth the extra cost to ensure you have new parts that will last equally as long.

This is a very high quality kit that I installed 30,000 miles ago and has functioned flawlessly! The Gates belt is an exact replacement for the stock Honda belt as the stock belt on my 2003 TL Type S was manufactured by Gates! You can't go wrong with this kit, these are all VERY good components!! While you're at it, also a great time to replace the idler pulley, crank and cam seals if leaking, and all other belts. Not a tough job if you have some mechanical experience, just time consuming and not easy on the back. Hardest part is removing the crank shaft bolt. Easiest to have a good 3/4" dive impact gun and 19MM socket to remove it. Trying to remove it with the pulley holder would be quite a pain!

I installed the waterpump and timing belt and it installed flawlessly but just over a month since I installed it all the timing belt showed its factory defect. The teeth on the belt had air pocket in the molding and after a month the ribbing collapsed which in turn messed the timing up and bent my valves. Gates used to be good quality products, but now they are more like China's garbage, thank you Gates..

Good kit for replacing the timing belt and water pump. I have done a few timing belts over the years, but the 3.5 Honda is very easy to do and this kit only makes it easier to do. All of the parts that you need in a single kit.While installing this kit I also took the opportunity to replace the radiator hoses, thermostat, drive belts and flushed the coolant.I did this job a year and a half ago and everything is still running smoothly. I will buy this kit again when my wife's Pilot (hopefully) turns over 300K.

Very nice high quality timing belt kit for Honda Odyssey. A quality Gates Built belt made in the USA, so not a cheap chinese knock off.Nicely packages with all that is required to rebuild all this stuff around the timing bet - you get that sucker bolt off the crankshaft pulley then definitely change this stuff - that bolt is a beast!!
