The product is fine but the description of the size is wrong. My trombone has a bell nearly 8.5†diameter. This horn mask is advertised to fit a trombone bell of 8 - 9 inches but it didn’t fit mine. I finally had to rip out a few stitches on both sides of the opening to make it fit. (I should have returned it but needed it right away.) Bottom line: it fits fine now and stays in place while playing.

Fits a standard trumpet bell. Double layered and the cinch doesn’t touch the bell. The insert does not appear to be MERV-13 material and interferes with the sound. I’ll have to remove it, and cut my own insert from maybe a furnace filter.

This is not really fabric, it feels disposable and has zero stretch. It ripped completely the first time we tried to put it on our tenor sax.

Difficult to put on. There is an opening slit in the middle of the cover which I believe is for removing and replacing the filter. But at first glance it kind of seems like that opening is where the bell of the instrument goes. Wrong (I think). You need to tighten the drawstring a bit and then work the outer edge of the cover over the edge of the bell. It's not easy. This is not stretchy material. Also, the filter is not what I was expecting. It's barely thicker than a piece of printer paper. I got this for my middle schooler and while I think it will do the job, it will be a hassle to remove to wash and replace.

by a longshot too small. this is supposed to be for large bell instruments and tubas but no. try it on a trombone maybe.

The amount of acoustic attenuation may be unacceptable, depending on your horn's natural acoustic properties. This mask did not work well on my vintage King Zephyr and Selmer Balanced Action tenor saxes, with inability to play from low C down, even with the filter removed from the fabric bell cover. It seemed to have less of an impact on my other horns but not insignificant. The fabric material seems denser than other alternative bell-covering products, so it is worth trying alternative coverings to get the right sound.

I thought the idea of having a bell cover in this age of covid-19 was a good idea, but unfortunately the way the Bell cover was made made it difficult to put on the Bell. What I expected was it to fit over the Bell like one puts on a shower cap, but the overlapping flap made this very difficult.

The description says the cover fits up to a 17 inch bell. My bell is 16 inches. No way to fit it on the bell.
