This item does what it is supposed to do. Lights up and is supposed to tolerate the high temp conditions inside the oven. Considering that Incan bulbs (electric resistance filaments) get crazy hot when lit, I guess it is not that much of a leap to oven service. Price was quite reasonable, I thought. Got 2 for around $5. It has been a long time since I had a working oven light, so I don't know how long it will last. The package says 1.4 yrs at the standardized usage of 3 hrs/ day. Nobody uses their oven light for 3 hrs /day. Well, at least I have a spare. I would realy like to get LED bulb for this, but I don't think they exist. The difference in electric usage between 40W and 3-4W should be unnoticeable considering the actual time spent lit up.

I was worried that these wouldn't fit my 30 year old Amana refrigerator. But they did. The freezer light had been out for more than 10 years, and the refrigerator light went out 3 days before I ordered these. With everything moving to LED lights that sometime fit standard sockets and sometimes don't, I was worried that wouldn't be able to find replacement bulbs that fit. These fit perfectly. Installation was a breeze.

One light bulb burned in first second. Second one still works. I’m not sure how long it will last.
