Our first GE microwave lasted almost 20 yrs. I doubt this one will. It has a lot of cheap plastics and thin metals. Rather noisy while it operates.If what you're cooking generates any steam (which most things do) it exhausts that steam all over the cabinet door above the unit. You can turn the exhaust fan on every time you cook (which will vent the steam out of the home if you have it ducted outdoors vs recirculating) - but that's VERY ANNOYING. If you don't turn the vent on, your cabinet door over the unit will be dripping wet. This will ruin the finish in short order.Do any companies even test their designs anymore? Pitiful...
