My setup was a little different than most users. I wasn’t replacing a wall switch. I wanted an outlet that whatever I plugged into it, could be turned on and off with the switch. I wanted an outlet mounted on the side of my saw that I could plug the saw and vacuum into and turn them both on and off with one switch. I know it says to use Romex but I was making mine like an extension cord so I used a heavy extension cord. I hooked the white wire to the silver screw that said white and the black wire to the copper screw ON THE SAME SIDE. DON’T break the tab on the other side for this application. The side with the tab has no wires going to it. The ground to the green obviously. I used a small electrical bar to plug the saw and the vacuum into it and plugged the bar into the outlet/switch. Now with one flick, it all goes on. As far as people saying the switch is stiff, mine was perfectly fine. I don’t want a floppy, loose switch.

I run a 14/2 from the box to the Attic, this switch fill the task, but the downside are the screws for the plastic box. They are cheap and they get rounded quickly.

My remote for the the garage door opener (139.53960SRT, RED learning) does not working any more and there is no replacement unit. Tried a universal remote, same results. It appears the learning function no longer works.I purchased the Woodguilin Wireless Control Switch to solve my problem, and it did. The attaced photo shows the installation. Spent a lot of time researching for the correct installation instructions.Pigtail two wires (red & white) to the garage door opener wall switch that are connected to the Controller switch, white to com and red to no.I use a power adapter 120vAC to 12vDC, 1.5A to power the Controller's input port.To pair the Controller, push button 20 times quickly. Then press the button one time and wait a few seconds then press the remote button once. The Controller and remote should be paired. If they are not, repeat the process. Try to open/close the garage door and it worked.I used low volt staples (Garner Bender MSB-1540) to tack down the wiring.

This product was exactly what I needed. It doesn’t feel cheap like a lot of electrical plugs/switches do. I replaced my existing furnace switch with this new switch in order to hook up a generator to the furnace. It works great. I recommend it.
