As my headline states, the filter fits my microwave oven and as far as I know, it works. It is priced well and looks like the GE filter that came with the microwave. It needs to be changed every 6 months per the instructions and this is a very reasonably priced filter.

I have a Frigidaire Gallery Series over the range microwave. These filters are an exact fit for the original filter! They're easy to change, but that really has nothing to do with the filter themselves, rather Frigidaire's design in where the filter is. There had been some comments in other reviews regarding being able to see through these filters, and some felt they are possibly a bit flimsy. I held up the old filter next to the new one, and saw not much difference. What density I saw, I believe, was what the filter had trapped. On my microwave, there is a reset process to go through to turn off the "filter" light, which also resets the 6 month countdown to the next required filter change.

This filter was used as to replace the original charcoal one. The function of the filter is to remove cooking odours from the kitchen via the microwave recirculating vent fan. The filter fit perfectly in its designated slot and appears to be functioning adequately. However, long term odour removal functionality is yet to be proven. The filter unit is not built as ruggedly as the original supplied by GE.
