I was just tired of trying of getting individual bits for the odd times I needed hex, so bought this. It's just a nice kit, from the little ones with 1/4" drive up to 3/4" on 1/2" drive and the equivalent in metric.I'll add to what others said that the long hex ball is a bit weird, but I'm ok with that. I've lived a long time not needing ball hex, I don't turn wrenches for a living, so I see those as just a bonus.Fit and finish on the bits is good, the case is nice, and based on prior purchase of the brand I'm sure they're above average in strength. It's a good kit to have.

I was raised using Craftsman tools. Craftsman is long gone to China. GEARWRENCH from Taiwan will work for me.

This set of hex bits comes in a nice latching storage case and includes all 3 standard socket sizes depending on the size of the bit. The longer bits have ball ends and the shorter ones are normal. Everything is laid out nicely in the storage case with markings molded into the case. Sizes are also engraved on each bit.For hex bolts that require more torque than a standard hex key set, this is a great set. You just need some ratchets and you are good to go. I'd assume that anyone who would buy this already has a basic socket set, and if not you can get ratcheting handles fairly cheap. The metric and SAE sizes are all together in the case and most common hex sizes are included in this set. So far the build quality seems very good, I put a lot of torque on a couple of the bits and they have been holding up very well. This set is not meant for impact or electric drive ratchets, there are impact bit sets for those tools.Happy with this set, I work a lot with hex hardware and this has really helped by allowing me to use my ratcheting handles to get a lot more torque to tighten and loosen when I need it. There are cheaper hex bit sets like this but Gearwrench has a lifetime warranty on these bits and in my experience their tools have been very reliable in my home garage.

Lowest quality instruments you can expect from $10 set. Bits are inserted under angle, not straight. The metal is soft, probably from a scrapyard.They moved their production from Taiwan to China to make bigger profit.
