Used this to change my water pump in my 2012 f250 6.7 diesel. Nice thin heavy duty wrenches. Don't forget to make sure you have a air hammer and bits for you air hammer to pop the fan nut off. I had only had chisels for my air hammer and cut the end off one still cut into the wrench.

I was skeptical at first, but I really needed this tool and my other Gear Wrench tools have held up well. I have become very critical of cheap tools recently as my mechanical ability and some of the projects I have been taking on have improved and increased. I won’t even look at Craftsman anymore, and that’s a shame because it was my grandfather and fathers go-to brand for years, along with Cornwell and Mac. Amazon dropped this tool on my porch today at the perfect time. It worked like a dream and was actually built far far better than my expectations. I can’t see using it too often unless you’re a professional mechanic, but stuff like this is sure nice to have around the garage when you need it, especially at this price point.

Muy bueno y trae diferentes para poder trabajar en distintos autos, el que buscaba era para Ford ranger 3.0. Muy buen producto.

Gear wrench makes great tools at great prices. i generally used an air chisel to loosen fan clutches but this set works just as well and doesn't mar the hub nut. After using it on a few different vehicles and getting used to it, it is just as fast to use as the air chisel. My 2 complaints: the spreader bar is VERY stiff. I've tried oiling it and working it but it is still a little over necessarily stiff. 2nd: Good luck keeping everything in the box. Again the spreader bar and some of the wrenches are difficult to replace in the storage container. The tools take up less room without the box so that's been my solution to that.Overall this set does what it's designed for, fits well and can be easy to use.

Worked well on my 2002 Avalanche 5.3L. The scissors tool to hold the pulley has interchangeable pins, it's strong and has leverage if you encounter a clutch that has been overtightened and corroded. Lots of assorted size pins and wrenches to cover many models. The wrenches have to be thin because the scissors tool takes up most of the room over the nut. The wrenches are strong enough to do the job. When you put your new fan clutch on, use plenty of anti-seize on the threads and don't overtighten it. The fan rotation against the threads keeps it on. You don't need to use all the leverage of the tool to tighten it, just nice and snug does the job. Remember this and the next time you take it off it will be easier.

Oh my god this set is amazing. Spent so many hours struggling with an adjustable wrench and hammer on my 02 Yukon XL and then separately with an early 00's F-150. With the Ford, a set of 90 degree needle nose pliers and an adjustable wrench worked to break the fan loose from the water pump, for the GMC it did not. This kit broke that fan loose in a few seconds more than it took to just set it up on the water pump pulley and fan hex nut. Sure, if you have steady access to compressed air, just buy the air hammer attachment. Otherwise, this set makes the job almost just as easy.

Used them when I was replacing the water pump. Unfortunately the pulley holder cannot be used on a 2015 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. At the price I paid I’m happy. I’ve very rarely been let down by a tool bearing the GearWrench brand name and even then it wasn’t anything to do with its functionality within its intended application just the way it felt in my hand while in use. I have a lot of GearWrench stuff and find the vast majority to be completely sufficient for my needs with near “dealer on wheels†quality at a fraction of the cost.

Great Kit successfully removed the fan clutch from a 2004 Trailblazer no problem. Tools snap back into the case nicely, perfect all around.
