Easy to setup the connection between phone and scan tool. As a technician who relies heavily on data reading, this scan tool is perfect for the job. The bi-directional control allows for precise system diagnostics, making troubleshooting much more effective. The speed of data transmission is impressive, providing quick and accurate data retrieval, which is crucial for diagnosing issues efficiently. The interface is intuitive (similar to autel), and the tool grants access to a wide range of vehicle systems. It's also perfect for getting a vehicle ready for a smog check, ensuring all monitors and readiness tests are properly set. Overall, a great product for professionals or diy'ers who need a fast, reliable diagnostic tool. The pdf report of live data is also very useful, you can go back and check the actual value, the min value and the max value for a data pid. You can also record and store the recored live data. Great tool for the price, highly recommended!

I got this only a few hours ago. I have some mechanical training and a few years of wrenching. I was able to fix some issues that have been plaguing one of my cars. This Bluetooth dongle with its bidirectional capabilities allowed vsc reset, testing and actuation of a number of system actions. I can read the values of complex sensors in real time. Quite possibly the most important tool I have now. There’s a latency lag of course. Not as bad as some reviews I have seen online make it out to be. There is a learning curve with these items and it takes some persistence and a bit of resourcefulness to get the desired action. The layout is fairly intuitive but if you haven’t dealt with bidirectional capabilities before, you may end up googling and YouTubing left and right. I certainly did a fair share of it.The fact this has all the capabilities built in with NO subscription is the best feature. Some say there’s a connection issue and reconnect fixes it, I had no such issue using it for about an hour and a half getting to know it and using it. Connect Bluetooth through your phones settings menu and the app connects when you open it.Super excited TPMS not only reads all aspects of the system but you can rewrite to the computer the id of each sensor. True bidirectional features.I have at least 10 dongles, Bl**d***er was an except for mode 6. Even tried another brand Th***di*g and you have to pay for each and every bidirectional capability and for annual access to use the dongle other than obd2 code reading. Some special features just aren’t available with every vehicle and the app will tell you.Everything built in and free forever in this one. You can update and download certain functions or all of them. Firmware seems to be either auto upgrade or not upgradable at least at the moment.Wish list:-I do think maybe a pro and novice mode or added features could be very helpful. Novice to include tutorials and more in-depth instruction and information on the use of each feature.-Add mode6 reading as well.-As is, you select the special feature you want to use then select your car. It would be nice to select or auto select your vehicle first then all features open to you. It’s very time consuming with the UI as is. Learning the capabilities I was in and out of each feature multiple times trying difference iterations and reach and every time you must either auto select or manually select your vehicle over and over and over again. Another device I have operates in a similar fashion to my request and is markedly easier and faster to use.-decrease latency more. When you’re reading a bunch of values at the same time it is slow to show the initial values let alone update. Just a few at a time it is faster. I have a number of readers that a much faster than this one.Again I’ve only had this a couple hours. I’ll update as I get more use out of it Good or bad

As a Toyota/Lexus Master tech, I love this thing! Was not sure of the wireless aspect of it as I’ve tried other wireless OBD Bluetooth Scanners that were horribly slow but this one is actually pretty fast! A full vehicle health scan only takes about a minute or 2 depending on how many ECUs the vehicle has. Pretty standard DTC read and clear. Live data is actually pretty good with many PIDs, Search feature, Custom Data list and even graphing! The real impressive thing is the Bi-Directional support this thing is capable of! Compared to the Factory Scan Tool, does pretty much everything (ECM Active Test, Main Body Active test ETC….) the factory one can do. It connects and performs the active tests pretty much instantly! The Special Function seems pretty good especially the TPMS reset/relearn feature, haven’t tried it yet but will try it out. This is only my first impressions on my Toyota Lexus Vehicles but so far I’m very pleased with it. The fast wireless, small and portable, feature packed, compatibility and support, ease of use at this price point makes it a VERY good choice. Definitely great for DIYers or having for emergency situations.

Promising product and I was hoping that this would suffice as an alternative to the more expensive and more comprehensive tablet scanners, but alas it doesn't come close. The bi-directional function is a game changer at this price point, but the slow interface and scanning function negates this. I tested this on multiple vehicles (20 year old, 5 year old, brand new) and it was super slow for all of them. Additionally, the bluetooth module will disconnect from your device, leaving you with an extra task of having to reconnect and reconfirm the bluetooth connection. And to cap it off, I used this with the latest iPhone 16 Pro! I hope that with time GearWrench can optimize their app and bluetooth module.

This is a great tool for home or shop. Used it initially to program 2 new keys and remotes to my 2017 Silverado saving me $300. Scans every system on my truck reading all system codes, ABS, trailer brake, Stabilitrack, etc.Have used it, so far, on a 2023 Dakota, 2018 Nissan Altima, 2019 KIA Sorento. No problem at all. Function tests allowed shift solenoid operation. Also includes an endoscopy ability. Just had to buy an inexpensive scope from temu.

I have to say, this is a great little bidirectional scanner for the price. I am not a shop and was looking for something for my family vehicles. I have connected it to both my samsung Android phone and tablet. I like that I can just download the cars I want and do not need to download files for all vehicles and take up memory on my older tablet. It gives me a lot of capability for the 2012 Jeep Wrangler and Challenger so far. I am very happy with it, would highly recommend for home use as a great entry level bidirectional scanner.

The bluetooth would not connect on my new 5G Blackview Pro 9000 android 14 no matter what I did. When the OBD was installed it did send a pairing request but still no luck as I literally tried all combinations. Connecting with an old CAT S62 Pro android 11 that I had spare proved successful and then connecting to my old Samsung Galaxy 12.2" Pro tablet was the master stroke instead of those tiny little screens this is now my go to workshop tool. I have already done an autoscan but it could not find my VIN, the option to enter it manually was a winner so I ran a scan, found a couple of issues (one of which I knew about) and sent a report to my own desktop email account where I split the monitor screen and started searching Fault Codes. Can not wait to run the Live Scan and get my old girl running like a dream. CHEERS!
