Note:

1. This filter housing has a maximum operating pressure rating of 90 psi, if you suspect that your water pressure will at any time exceed 80 psi, a pressure regulator MUST BE INSTALLED before the filter housing. this action will guard against the water pressure exceeding the maximum pressure rating.it is recommended that the pressure regulator be set at 60 psi or less.

2. In inlet/outlet thread part,please wrap ENOUGH seal tape. Teflon tape, then a layer of joint compound or other glue could be used for metal and stainless steel material, then Teflon tape again. almost all leaking could be fixed.

3. Please remove canisters from the caps, clean the O ring surfaces and re lubricate. the rubber o-ring provides the water tight seal between the cap and the sump. it is important that the o-ring be properly seated in the groove of a water leak could occur.

4. By using the supplied wrench and making very tight. you may search "whole house water filter " on YouTube, there is some video about similar system installation, it is very helpful if it is the first time to install it.

5. Protect filter housing from freezing.

6. Please Run water for about 10-15 minutes when you replace filters everytime, it is normal if black carbon fines to appear in the water when flush filters, and the water produced should be emptied and not used.

While it is a cheap alternative and the threaded fittings are brass, the plastic case itself is, well... cheap. Out of the blue on a mild September day it cracked. Water started pouring everywhere into my crawlspace where the filter was installed. It was actually the day I returned from vacation. Thank God it didn't burst but a week earlier or it would have kept flooding for several days without my knowing.Don't "save money" with this product (read the other reviews: my situation is not unique) and get a real housing for your filter. Sidenote: still waiting for a reply from GeekPure on their warranty.

This product was professionally installed. The threads broke off in the middle of the night, causing a water problem. I have tried 3 times unsuccessfully with the company to get my money back and have had no response, even the product is warrantied for 12 months. Won't recommend the product or the company, Geekpure.

I couldn’t find the filter housing a have used before so I tried this one. The pipe threads are not tapered like so much other Chinese made parts so you have a hard time sealing the fittings. I’ve taken it apart three times to get it to stop leaking. I’ve used Pentek housing before with no problems.

In only 6 months the side split out of the housing and filled my utility room with water! Cheap thin plastic casting I guess.

Fonctionne bien mais j ai du lubrifier le seal et les filets car il coulait. En les lubrifiant avec graisse silicone legerement, j ai serrer la cartouche plus fortement au niveau du filtre.

Update: bought one for my house and it’s working great aswell.Works great no leaks just use tape and plumbers dope and it shouldn’t leak, would be nice if it had a bypass feature and stronger bracket but it does the job and I like the clear canister over the blue I can see the filter. In my opinion every house should have a sediment filter, ull be amazed at how dirty it gets.
