Product Description

FFC Cable

Note: the 15pin FFC cable is not support Raspberry Pi camera.

Overview

This is a FFC cable kit for the Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe interface. It includes 3 lengths, 30mm, 50mm and 80mm in length. According to our tests, the shorter the FFC cable, the faster the read and write speed of the SSD will be.

In addition, it also includes an M2 knurled nut and an M2 screw, which are used to help fix the 2230/2242/2260 SSD on the X1001/X1000/X1002. This method is not perfect, but it can solve some issue you encountered.

Used the longest one since the cooler on the pi was a little tall and it was booting off of the nvme.

Received a package with 2 30mm cables and an 80mm. One of the 30mm cables was previously installed in something. Didn’t care as all I wanted was to 80mm cable. I do mention it in case it happens to someone else and they specifically need the 50mm. Almost with they sold a 100mm flex because it was a tight fit in the case and getting the end properly seated and locked in was a bit of a PITA. ESD tweezers saved the day

I seen that this was for the pcie port on raspberry 5 and one of my mini computers had the same pcie except they were hooking it to an ssd. I found an nvme adapter, also from raspberry, that would fit in places of the ssd. Hooked it up and all good. I also had enough room to add a heatsink.

I have liked everything about this so far (2 days). It was accurate description on the web as to what was received. Granted I do not need the longer one or the shorter one. For my purposes the middle was just right. Seeing that sold alone would be of benefit to future buyers.

To start, the longest cable didn't work at all. When the shorter ribbon cables were completely straight/flat, they worked, but as soon as they got even slightly bent (necessary to connect HAT or baseboard to the pi), the drive was no longer recognized. I tried all cables with the aforementioned boards without success. Bummer dude.

Works for my Raspberry PI 5 connection to external SSD circuit board and inexpensive solution.
